Had a terrible experience today with Bill Jacob’s BMW and personally would not recommend this dealership to anyone as they fit the stereotypical shady car business. Today is my 17th anniversary of marriage a personally would not recommend this dealership to anyone as they fit the stereotypical shady car business. Today is my 17th anniversary of marriage and I’ve been in the market looking for a specific vehicle for month’s. I live in a nearby state and am frequently in the area for friends and AAU basketball. My sales rep called me while we we’re celebrating and told me someone had backed out on the vehicle I wanted so I immediately jumped on it and secured it. I was so excited and my wife and I were like what an awesome anniversary gift. Later that evening the sales rep called me back to tell me they’re New Car Manager is now upping the price $10K above MSRP because I live out of state. First off, for the past few months working with my rep no one told me I would have to pay more money out of pocket for living out of state which ended being a complete waste of my time and a shady practice to string me along. Second, no care in the world for my special day with my spouse. Immediate disappointment rushed through my body while we were at dinner celebrating when we received the call with bad news. I completely understand automobile dealerships need to make money to stay in business but upping the price just because I live out of state and I’m picking it up from their dealership is highly disappointing but not an unusual practice by some in this business. I personally warn anyone in Illinois to stay away from this place and I will be sure to point my friends, business colleagues and family in the area to another dealership! Complete shocker how this place is the highest volume dealer in the Midwest. More
