First, when I called the service department with some questions about the types of oil you use, the man on the line gave me very specific information. My question had to do with the types of oil another dealership's service department advised me about. Their website showed two different types of synthetic oil in addition to the standard API petroleum oil. They could not answer if one of the options was a blend of petroleum oil AND synthetic. I have never heard about any blends of oil such as that. So when I called your dealership's service department, the man who answered advised me that Hyundai does NOT recommend synthetic oil (straight or blended) for ANY of its cars. This made sense to me. So that is why I chose your service department for a standard petroleum oil change for my Sants Fe 4 cylinder car. The answer option selections I have made prior to writing this review reflect my satisfaction with your service departments application to my choice of using your services. wordex ALL RIGHT NOW! I've complied with your questions and have entered a suitable review. I am getting tired of this rating site bouncing me back to correct something I have already entered o register the first time around. This is enough. If it does not go through this time, you can just forget it. wordex More
I get all my maintenance done at this dealer. All staff is friendly, and they understand that I work a lot and they always manage to squeeze me in on the Saturday I need my service done. You cannot beat th is friendly, and they understand that I work a lot and they always manage to squeeze me in on the Saturday I need my service done. You cannot beat the price for the dealer parts they use, the factory trained techs that work on your car, and the complimentary wash and vacuum they perform. I would never even think of taking my Hyundai anywhere else for service. More
I felt the sameway with danman281: APPROACH WITH CAUTION: I was originally interested in going to Ron Carter based off of their internet prices and was willing to make the 45 mile hike to get a goo CAUTION: I was originally interested in going to Ron Carter based off of their internet prices and was willing to make the 45 mile hike to get a good deal on a great car. However, it’s all just a scam to get you through the door. In order to get their internet (ePrice) you need to qualify for EVERY single rebate possible including what the manufacturer may be offering. So unless you’re a military person turned to police officer/firefighter and also are a teacher and have partaken in graduating from somewhere, you can forget the majority of the savings. Mr. Chapman was very helpful,I would give him a 5,but the dealer way of doing business is not straight forward, just don't believe what their promotions on the Website. We went to another dealer on the same day and bought the same Huyndai model for a lot less(3K). More

Also on their website, they mention the Ron Carter Hyundai Value Package that includes paint & fabric protection for 6 years, nitrogen filled tires, and lifetime protected solar tint. This is not an optional package and it will add $1000-1500 to your sticker price. So if you’re interested in these types of products then you’ll probably be ok with it. I didn’t mind the package too much. Financing was not the greatest experience, but it wasn’t necessarily the worst either. I still felt like an “inconvenience” and that I was just another stack a papers that needed to get moved off the desk an on to the next. Although I did appreciate not being bombarded or pushed with extras like extended warranties, and various types of protection policies that would only “increase my monthly payment by $5”. However, the ONLY reason I would consider dealing with Ron Carter again is my sales representative, Christian Karamitsos. This guy told the guy that wrote the book on customer service what was wrong with it and rewrote it for him. I believe he knew more about the cars than the engineers that designed the vehicles. Depending on your age, he would either be your favorite son, brother, or uncle after spending a few minutes with him. He was extremely patient, always looked out for my best interest, and did everything in HIS power to make me a happy customer. Since I purchased the vehicle by myself and didn’t have a trade in, he actually made the 40+ mile trek himself to drop of my car at my house so I could drive my new one home. AMAZED! I didn’t feel like I was dealing with a “Car Sales” guy, rather he felt like a member of the family. Overall, do I feel like I got a decent deal on my car compared to the other dealers in the Houston area…probably so. Would I sacrifice driving 40+ miles to get the deal I got…probably not (If I have to deal with someone besides Christian…definitely not). More
My husband and I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata last week, and the salesman that worked with us was Tasos. I did fill out a courtesy statement after the purchase, but I wanted to go into more detail wi week, and the salesman that worked with us was Tasos. I did fill out a courtesy statement after the purchase, but I wanted to go into more detail with you…..about Tasos Karamitsos and about Joe Spurlock, who helped us in finance. My husband and I are in our mid-sixties, so we have purchased our share of automobiles over the years….new and used. I would have to say that the experience we had last week was, by far, the best we have ever had when making a purchase. From the first sentence out of Tasos’ mouth to the final good-bye when we departed at 9:45PM, there was nothing but positivity. At absolutely NO point was there even one second of pressure….he pointed out all of the selling points of the Sonata, and was very respectful of the fact that we were loyal Honda Accord people….not ever putting down the Honda. Since I will be the primary driver of the Sonata, I was very skeptical that it would be a better car than my Honda. Again, Tasos left that judgment up to me. When we finally made the decision to purchase, he handled the ever-so-slight haggle with such perfection! With the agreed purchase price in hand we headed to see Joe Spurlock. Having only ever had bad experiences with finance departments, we braced ourselves for PRESSURE….”buy this….you need this….you HAVE to have this”….. OMG!! Not a single word of pressure…NOTHING! He printed up all the paperwork, chatted with us and was very friendly! Now, I know that Hyundai has the BEST warranty around….but I was sure we would be pressured for something additional that would add $10 - $25 to our note. Were we in for a surprise! These are the nicest two men we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They both stayed way past their closing time…..never once looking at their watch or giving any indication that we were keeping them! AMAZING! Tasos then began the walk-around and the explanation of every bell and whistle the Sonata has….inside and out. He took his time and was genuinely concerned that we understood and had no questions. He also gave us his card w/his cell for us to call if and when we needed ANYTHING explained. I will strongly recommend your dealership to any and all friends and relatives….in order that they can experience the same thing we did. Ron Carter Hyundai is very fortunate to have these two men on board with your company! More
"just south of high prices", well not really. They added about $5000 in extra things I did not know about or want. This dealership couldn't be honest and upfront with me. It was my first time eve They added about $5000 in extra things I did not know about or want. This dealership couldn't be honest and upfront with me. It was my first time ever buying a car and I guess they caught on and took advantage of me. Knowing what I know now, I will never ever buy a car from them or recommend them to friends and family. I actually wish I knew someone that was lookin to buy a Hyundai so I could go with them and call them out on their shady tactics. The manager didn't even want to attempt to make things right. He pretty much just said, tough luck. More
I bought a used car and in two days the car started giving lot of problems. I took it back to them to request that they look into it since it was in conceivable for the car to not properly work in only giving lot of problems. I took it back to them to request that they look into it since it was in conceivable for the car to not properly work in only two days. The manager told me that they cannot do anything about it since it is a used car and it bound to have problems but problems such as belt replacement and worn out brakes not enough to even pass safety inspection. How is this even possible ? Anyways, our experience was very bad at this dealership. More
They were horrible. They promised us 2 cars and all of a sudden they were sold out from underneath them. They took My money and did the deal and produced nothing but a headache. They did even have the decen sudden they were sold out from underneath them. They took My money and did the deal and produced nothing but a headache. They did even have the decency to calle I had to keep calling them. The kicker is because I was upset they said they could no longer deal with me becuause they were under strict orders not to do business with upset customers because they would get bad surveys. They are a horrible dealership! More
They did not do much right. Features of new vehicle were either not explained or not explained correctly. We had to setup our phones and bluelink without any help and had to contact bluelink directly to un either not explained or not explained correctly. We had to setup our phones and bluelink without any help and had to contact bluelink directly to understand the features and services. The cost of bluelink was not represented correctly. This was the most unpleasant experience with buying a vehicle, new or used, that I ever had. I would not recommend Ron Carter as a dealer. More
