After emailing Daniel Schatte last week about a Genesis Coupe that was advertised online for $21,824 (see link below), he and the sales manager refused to honor that price. That is a deceptive trade practice and fraudulent. http://www.roncarterhyun… I am an attorney and CPA so I understand how numbers work, and the numbers Daniel showed me yesterday just didn't add up. Before I left Austin, I emailed Daniel and told him what I wanted on a trade-in, and I emailed him pictures of the Toyota Highlander I own. I also told him that if I wasn't in the ballpark on trade-in, I wouldn't be coming to Houston. He and Ryan both saw the pictures of the Toyota, which does have a dent in the back bumper, but this was disclosed prior to Ryan sending me a trade-in quote of $9,778. Again, Daniel and the sales manager refused to honor the quote, and it was in writing. Daniel also didn't offer the tax savings from the trade-in. It's very simple math. I told Daniel I would write a check for $13,000, and he told me that I needed to write a check for $21,000. I don't know how he came up with his numbers. They don't make sense. See my calculations below. Internet price 21,824.00 Trade-in -9,778.00 Tax 752.88 Title & License 555.00 Total amount due 13,353.88 I am forwarding my complaint to the consumer affairs division of the Texas Attorney General's office because I am confident this dealership is engaged in deceptive trade practices. He made my 2013 Hyundai Elantra a reality in just a few short hours. I got the amenities that I wanted including sunroof and leather seating in the color I wanted. I got a low interest rate and the price I wanted with affordable payments. We test drove more than one kind of car before making our decision and we never felt pressured. Anthony was even able to get our car cleaned and detailed the same night we bought it. I would definitely recommend Anthony and Ron Carter to anyone wanting a good deal and no hassles. More
I received a mailing advertising trade-in deals. As I have an 2008 Elantra, I figured I should check it out, see what option(s) - if any - might work for me. Veronica (sales person) was very nice, allow have an 2008 Elantra, I figured I should check it out, see what option(s) - if any - might work for me. Veronica (sales person) was very nice, allowed me to test-drive a 2013 Elantra, and - after I made clear what I could afford per month - we settled on $211.80 per month at 0% for the first 60 months and 0.9% for 12 additional months. That would have been an amazing deal. BUT by the time I was handed over to the finance guy, I was told my payment would be $247 per month. I questioned the number. Off he went to the manager, and came back with $219 per month. I said I was not happy about this change, but could agree to $219 per month. That's when he explained they have a 'customer service email survey' and would like me to give them a perfect score. I said after the deal was negotiated and changed, I did not feel they should expect a perfect score. He went for one more visit with the manager, only to return and explain they "did not want to start off a business relationship with a dissatisfied customer" so could not proceed with the sale. From my perspective, had they honored $211.80, I would have been a 100% satisfied customer. Had they accepted graciously a less than perfect score on their survey for $219, I would have been mostly satisfied. As is, I am 100% dissatisfied. Additionally, my partner was thinking of exploring the possibilities of trading in his car for a Sonata; but after our unproductive three hours at the dealership only to leave dissatisfied, he will not consider doing business with them. I was welcomed immediately as I came to the sales area and was told that there were several cars that had been picked out for me to look at. I was taken to a Hyundai Accent (2013) to test drive and I real and was told that there were several cars that had been picked out for me to look at. I was taken to a Hyundai Accent (2013) to test drive and I really loved the car and the way it handled. I was then given a choice of colors and was given the color I liked most. The car only had 9 miles on it and still had the plastic on the seats ! The paperwork began and the car was sent to be cleaned up and fueled. While the paperwork was being handled I was offered refreshments and settled into a very nice lounge area. After I had eaten the snacks I went to my car and cleaned out all of my belongings, The paperwork was then presented and I signed all the papers. I was ready to go and handed the keys when I was called back into the office to re-sign the paperwork. Why? Because my payments had been lowered !! I got my new car with the 100,000 mile/ 10 year all round warranty for less than I had been paying for my other car that I had turned in !!!! The whole experience was painless and very easy and I was treated with the utmost care. I would recommend the RON CARTER dealership to anyone as I had the best car buying experience I have ever had. I went to this dealership because I was in a bad situation with my car and due to the time of purchase I was very upside down as well as had a very high interest rate. I was told this dealership would do whatever they could to help someone out. WELL when I first went in I met with Stephen and he was very helpful got the ball rolling and handed it to Frank in finance and that is where it stopped. I contacted Frank Luna a few times after to give him what he asked for to make a deal NO RESPONSE! Then recieved a call from Gary Crow and was given an attitude from him and he was very rude when I asked about the status of a deal that was already started and our applications. After a few calls I spoke to Chris Premont and he was a BIG help. After speaking to him he assured me that they did not do business this way and would help out. That night Philip Lam called me to find out what was going on and I didn't even want to purchase a car anymore at this point, he assured me that that was not how they do business and he would handle it along with my original salesman Stephen Payne. Well these guys did a great job & did EXACTLY what they said they were going to do along with finance Roger Jimenez! I have told everyone that you can't beat the warranty with hyundai and most of all the TRUTH that these guys Stephen, Philip & Roger that work at this dealership say when they are helping you!! I am so happy with my new car and they did exactly as they said they would make the customer happy!! I will send people their way because these guys know how to handle customers and are very helpful in the whole process!! More
I went to Ron Carter to purchase my first vehicle on my own. I was unsure of which car I wanted and if I could get one that would fit in my budget. After speaking with my co-worker I found his family had also had Armando as his sales person and they drove a long way to this dealership to buy their car. The dealership is clean and oriented to the customer with the hot dogs and on the day we test drove the our car the snow cones were great in the summer heat! I would recommend both the dealership and our sales person. More
