I recently used the auto circle to help find me a vehicle. I located a vehicle that was through a USAA recommended dealership. The dealership was Ron Carter Cadillac Hyundai located at 18100 Gulf Fwy vehicle. I located a vehicle that was through a USAA recommended dealership. The dealership was Ron Carter Cadillac Hyundai located at 18100 Gulf Fwy, Friendswood, Texas 77546. I first contacted the dealership through email and received a rapid response from both USAA and the dealership. I also received a pricing certificate. I secondly spoke with a salesman by the name of Julian Carrillo multiple times and confirmed the price with him. I was not to sure of traveling to see the vehicle initially since it was located 3 hours and 20 minutes from my home. Julian assured me that it would be well worth the trip and that the dealership would fully give full reimbursement for fuel cost even if the deal did not work out. I normally would not drive this far for a vehicle purchase that was not a guarantee, but I thought if USAA is willing to put their name behind this dealership surely they do good business. I was wrong. I arrived to find the car with a couple of issues that were not disclosed to me in the multiple conversations I had on the phone even though I asked specifically about them. We did a test drive with the car and I decided we could go ahead with working numbers and trying to make a deal. This is where it gets really bad. The vehicle is listed online at 15,977 and this is also the pricing certificate I received through USAA. The price they came out with paper was 3,000 more then this price!!! Talk about false advertisement. Then the manager tried to explain it was for a accessory package that was on the car, but the salesman already tried to sell me this package not 30 minutes ago. I asked if they planned on double charging me for this package, to which they did not have a response. Then they did not offer even half of what the average trade in value per KBB is on my car. I already had a good trade in offer on my car which I brought with me since this dealership also advertises that they beat any trde in offer by 500. My previous trade in offer was 12,600 and this dealership was only offering me 5,000!!! Fair trade in is 9,800. They managed to turn this 15,977 car into a totol of 29,500 financed!! Something is seriously wrong with this picture. Keep in mind I drove three and half hours one way to see a car I have been assured was a certain price and thinking I would get fair trade in allowance. I then asked for my keys and my reimbursement for fuel. They gave me 2 25 dollar gift cards which barely paid one way for fuel. They also took almost another 30 minutes just to locate the keys to my vehicle so that I could leave. I feel that USAA may want to look into associating their good name with this dealership. They are dishonest and lack integrity, which are two great things that USAA stands for. I am in no way upset with USAA as I understand this is completely out of their control. More

My wife and I had been looking for a new car for few months already. We were sold on a Nissan as that is all we have driven for so many years. My daughter and son in law had recently purchased a Hyunda months already. We were sold on a Nissan as that is all we have driven for so many years. My daughter and son in law had recently purchased a Hyundai Sonata from Jarred Howard and we truly liked it when we saw it. After visiting our daughter in Houston area this weekend we asked them to take us to a Nissan dealership in the area. While we were in negotiations with nissan my son in law was on the phone with Jarred at Ron Carter letting him know they had intentions of taking us to see him. Well, after things fell thru at Nissan, sure enough we ended up at RC Hyundai and ended up purchasing a Sonata as well. We were truly pleased with the whole experience and definitely thankful we stayed open minded to other cars other than Nissan. We are very pleased with our decision. We would definitely recommend Jarred and RC Hyundai. More
