Add-ons and Unwarranted Credit Check I purchased a used car in June with financing already approved from my bank. When I showed up, they made me fill out a "background check" to ensure I I purchased a used car in June with financing already approved from my bank. When I showed up, they made me fill out a "background check" to ensure I could purchase a car legally. I specifically asked and checked the box for no credit check. What appeared on my credit score this week? A credit check from Ron Carter. Gee, thanks. Also, the price for the used car was listed at $17k on their website. When I got there, they upped the price to $18k which I noticed and made them change. Then, they came back with a final price of $23k. Why? Their Platinum Package which included oil changes, window tint, an appearance package, etc. I argued for 20 minutes to get them to reduce this, which only got me down to $1k for what I thought I would actually use. I thought the appearance package was similar to what the other dealers offers that includes seat sealant, etc. Nope. I received in the mail a 5 bottle car care package of re-branded car care products, barely worth $100. Yes, my fault, I should have asked, but now I'm warning other people that it is worthless. I feel a bit ripped off from the add-ons, disrespected from the pricing bait and switch, and insulted at the credit check when I specifically asked for one NOT to be run. At least they were nice and my daughter enjoyed their video games and popcorn, but I will not ever by a car from them again, nor will I recommend. More

Happy Returning Customer In 2010, Wife & I had to file bankruptcy. A year later, we had to look for a bigger car due to new baby. We researched for highest safety rating cars & dealership that doesn't pressure you to buy. We doubted we would be able to be accepted for a loan. The Sales rep at that time was named "Christian", super nice, professional & understanding of our circumstance. He worked his magic w/ the help of their financial team, and not only did we get accepted via another bank. We rolled off the lot w/ 2012 Sonata. Hassle-free! They really took care of us, and it was just a Great experience, especially compared to our previous encounters w/ other dealerships in the past. We highly recommended this place to our friends & family. Three years later, never had any issues w/ our Sonata. Happy owners. Received a call one day from Ron Carter telling of there buyback incentive with their new personal financing with promise of getting us into lower interest rate. I procrastinated for 2 months because I loved what I had, but had the itch one day this past week to just walk in the doors & see what they had to offer. Only mistake was, I went by myself with our 2 & 4 yr old. Just so happened that "Christian" was still there to greet me. He climbed up the ladder & no longer was doing Sales on the floor, but directed me to Joshua Romines. "Josh" was super informative of answering my questions & letting me know what options and possibilities there was for me. Really was hesitant to trading in for the simple fact that it had been great car with no problems at all. I was only considering it if they could get Me into a newer model with a lower intrest rate. Went into lot to check out the new 2014 & 2015 Sonatas. Fell in Love at 1st sight with the new 2015 Sonata Limited. Had major upgrades from the 2012 that I had. So I was told that my credit score had improved dramatically from last time, but they couldn't get me into the Sonata Limited, but they could for the Sonata Sport ( for the monthly payment I was looking for). At this point, my kids were having meltdowns & "Josh" was like not only a Sales Rep, but also a toddler whisperer. He was awesome with my kids in help watching them while at same time going over numbers with me. He was doing everything in his power to meet my needs & expectations. "Christian" had come over and helped us out trying to make the numbers work. Christian personally took interest in making sure I was going to get the car I wanted for the payment I was looking for, as well as Josh. My wife showed up after work, & at this point, I was going to just settle for the sport Sonata, but Christian & Josh could sense that I wasn't 100% satisfied with what I was really wanting, so instead of just making the deal & be done with me. They said "Wait, I want u to be completely satisfied with what you get, so why don't we hold off on signing any papers to purchase. Let us give you the keys, take it home and drive it to see if it's a fit for you.". What a relief it felt to not rush it cause at that point w/ kid & all. I was just ready to make it happen. (Side note: Christian stayed an hour after he was suppose to get off work to help us with the process. Didn't know until afterwards that it was his anniversary & had diner date) That's just one reason alone that I came back & will continue to come back to Ron Carter is for its customer service. So the next day we come in before we make a road trip to Dallas. Bring in the sports addition, & prepared to walk away w/ my 2012 Sonata if I couldn't get the numbers to work for what I really wanted which was the 2015 Limited edition. Josh & Christian just blew my mind & expectations when they told me- "Brian, not only did we get you this X-amount in rebates, not only did we get into "HALF" the intrest rate that you pay now. But we are going to get you the Limited edition with the pearl white color you wanted for the payment you were looking for."Yet again, was amazed for what they could do for me! More
