Mr .Soares, We are disappointed about the comments regarding your experience with us and we strive to make sure every customer has the very best experience. After researching, we immediately tried to rectify the mechanical issues when it was brought to our attention, as we were unaware of any lingering problems after the vehicle passed inspection and certification. We were also informed that your personal mechanic inspected the vehicle and deemed the vehicle to be ok before taking delivery. Once we were informed of the issues, we offered to have the vehicle fixed which you declined. We credited the entire purchase amount of the vehicle less $180 to you so you could purchase another car you liked from our sister store. The Certification process from Nissan requires us to perform a Certification on any vehicle that we sell regardless of whether it was performed at another Nissan dealership. We have done everything in our power to make this a great experience. I understand that we cannot satisfy every customer, but we definitely try. We are disappointed about the comments regarding your experience with us and we strive to make sure every customer has the very best experience. After researching, we immediately tried to rectify the mechanical issues when it was brought to our attention, as we were unaware of any lingering problems after the vehicle passed inspection and certification. - Remember, you said that! The car died at Independence and Virginia Beach Blvd and was unable to be repaired by your service dept. It was unsafe for operation as it would quit at any time. We were also informed that your personal mechanic inspected the vehicle and deemed the vehicle to be ok before taking delivery. Once we were informed of the issues, we offered to have the vehicle fixed which you declined. -Your greatest attribute appears to be an ability to absolve yourself of any responsibility in this matter. The vehicle was advertised on your website, although the issues it had should have precluded it from being offered. When it died, I had it towed to your service dept. They declared it unfixable. Numerous repairs had been attempted and had failed. Therefore, if you had tendered an offer to repair, it would have been mute. The vehicle was prone to die instantaneously and was therefore unsafe. In fact, it was never put back on your lot, it was sent off to a broker. We credited the entire purchase amount of the vehicle less $180 to you so you could purchase another car you liked from our sister store. - You lie like a rug. When I told you I had made improvements to the vehicle, you said I got to eat that. Process fee, title tax, dealer’s business license tax, total loss protection, registration fees, I got to eat. Difference between $13,000 you offered as a “trade in value” and the $13,281 I paid, I got to eat. I lost out-of-pocket over $2,000 on this transaction. The Certification process from Nissan requires us to perform a Certification on any vehicle that we sell regardless of whether it was performed at another Nissan dealership. - I wonder why I got an entirely different story from the Norfolk store? The vehicle I eventually bought was from the Norfolk store (with their certification), and was still under factory warranty. When you told me about this inspection fee, I asked if we could split it. Nope, another charge I had to eat. We have done everything in our power to make this a great experience. I understand that we cannot satisfy every customer, but we definitely try. I would be happy to go over this with you face to face should you wish to review this further. - The only “everything in your power” you did was keep from losing a sale, or any money on that sale. I called you a liar in this reply, and I would love the opportunity to call you a liar to your face, provided your supervisor is present. Maybe ever invite Dan Banister. I am sure he would like feedback on how people recommended by his employees are treated during his “Swap Keys” campaign. I can back up any statements I have made with relevant paperwork.
