Please note that I left a message for Mr. Sarwan on his phone, and I also responded privately to him on this site with all of my contact information. I have never received a return call. BMW of Sherman Oaks is not taking our complaint seriously. At this point, given our attempts to solve this through BMW of Sherman Oaks, we are now thinking it was all a scam. We were scammed out of almost $1600. We towed in a non-drivable car and we were given back a non-drivable car and charged almost $1600. If we do not achieve reimbursement through BMW of Sherman Oaks, we will take the matter directly to Lithia motors, and to BMW of North America.

Here is the follow up After multiple conversations with Mr. Sarwan, he did agree to reimburse us for the cost of paying for the repair that left us with a non-operational car. It’s important to note that it took us between 10 and 15 hours to accomplish this reimbursement. This included, but was not limited to completing a BMW survey post repair where we Clearly stated that the car was not operational and asked for the repair department to contact us. We never did get a contact from the repair department. We also had the car towed to a more convenient car repair location near where we live, and after a full evaluation, we had them provide in writing, proof that the car was never repaired correctly. Then we had to have the car towed home and discuss whether it was worth the extent of the repairs quoted by the second repair location. After not hearing back from BMW of Sherman Oaks, I initially wrote a yelp review. As a result of that review, I was asked to contact a manager, Sean. After two conversations with Sean, I knew that he was not going to be helpful. He began the process of trying to blame us Instead of taking responsibility that we brought in a non-operational car, and after spending almost $1600, we brought home a non-operational car. We also began a dispute process with our credit card company, which involved extensive communication, copies of paperwork, and conversations with the dispute department. Then I placed another review on this site, which led to Mr. Sarwan, asking me to contact him. We had multiple conversations with Mr. Sarwan, which eventually led to him, agreeing to reimburse the total amount. So I caution anyone reading this if you are in a situation with a merchant, and you feel you are entitled to reimbursement for goods or services, be prepared to spend over 10 hours pursuing the issue. Fortunately, in our situation, Mr. Sarwan did the right thing.
