I went in to this dealership because I was looking for a used BMW X3 and they work with Costco's auto program. Although they did not have a car for me to purchase, I was absolutely blown away by the profess used BMW X3 and they work with Costco's auto program. He went above and beyond his call of duty to help me understand the car I wish to purchase, gave me names of competitors that are trustworthy and that he would recommend, and taught me how to go about purchasing a GREAT used car wisely. I would not hesitate to come back to Portland BMW and ask for Ty Vilhauer when I am in the position to purchase a brand new (or newer pre-owned) vehicle. Thank you Ty! I came back a few hours later and was greeted by David, who then brought me to his storage/prep location as the main dealership was nearing closing time. he let me kick the tires and take it for a drive. I told him I'd be in touch. Came back a day or two later ready to make a low-ball offer. I loved the car, but didn't need it. David had my car appraised and wrote up some paperwork. His first offer was way off, next offer was a strike two, third offer was on the money (perhaps because I again showed up right as the dealership was closing and everyone wanted to go home?). I got cold feed and didn't want to sign anything. David stayed in touch via email with just the right amount of pressure to get me back on the lot without aggrevating me. I appreciated his approach and agreed to make a deal. Again, I showed up at the dealership right as the front doors were being locked. David and his crew stayed late to get paperwork done and get me in the new machine. It felt great to purchase a car with no regrets. I was very impressed with David's service, especially considering he has been on the job for about six months. David's post-sale service has been great as well. The only negative part of the buying experience was watching a shop employee wipe a dirty, dry cloth all across my Jet Black paint right before I drove it off the lot! The horror!!! The special order process can be a lengthy one and wrought with anticipation, but David kept me well informed and ahead o special order 335i X-Drive. When the car arrived to BMW of Portland, I was on business on the East Coast. David promptly sent me pictures of the vehicle and took care of my clear mask, window tint, and accessory installation all prior to me getting back into town. When it came time to pick the vehicle up, David met me first thing in the morning, had the vehicle and paperwork all ready to go and had the keys in my hand and ready to drive away in less than an hour. At my request after the standard car walk-about, David spent an additional 45 minutes with setting up my connected drive, satellite radio, and personalizing the settings for my BMW. The process was as easy as it could possibly be, totally seamless. Thanks David! More

I went to you competitor first because the location was easier to get to. After a few emails with Yazen and then forwarded onto TY i was very impressed and after having a proper test drive with the sales attendant going through all the features and selling me the experience, it completely changed my opinion. Ty read me straight away and knew that I didnt want to have my time wasted and was straight to the point, and within a day I signed the papers and had a deal I was more than happy to accept. And knowing that the maintenance plan will be personally handled by this dealership was reassuring as well as another reason why I purchased the car. More
