I was very pleased with my leasing experience (David and Yazen). Then I had some noises with my heater. This was sort of a debacle with the tire company, but Ingrid was AMAZING. She was very good at communicating what was happening and worried if I was ok. She has FABULOUS follow up skills not just with me, but he tire people that most people lack these days. Everyone at BMW Portland greets you with a smile and work together to make you happy. I truly appreciate this fantastic team (David-Sales and Ingrid-Service). I have not been to this location a lot, but feel like I am going to visit a friend when I have stopped by. Top Notch and A+ from this happy customer. More
I made one phone call to Eric about my having difficulty programming my new X5's universal remote control to open my garage door and he was at my doorstep within the hour. Sometimes it is just the luck of the draw. We were fortunate enough to work with David Padgalskas as our client advisor. It did not take us long to realize that David was symbolic of the type of personnel BMW Portland employed. We came to BMW Portland unsure about whether or not we would purchase a vehicle in Portland, but we did come with interest and with our homework done. David counseled us with warmth, competence, and honesty. Once we communicated that we were interested in the 2014 X 1, David began to educate us about the X 1, to discuss prices, and to search for just the X 1 we wished. As it turned out, he found it on a ship heading to California. David always went the extra mile; for example, having a meeting at a coffee shop or dropping off a document at our condo. We always responded positively to his low-key, friendly approach in making a sale. We felt we could call upon David if we wished him to intervene for us if we needed assistance, and, when the occasion came up, he intervened and resolved the situation much to our satisfaction. Sam Nejad, as the financial manager, handled our financial matters efficiently and took most of the pain out of doing the necessary paperwork. More
We setup an appointment (really?) to test drive a new 2014 xDrive35i. I had spoken with Ben Dueber on the phone, told him what we wanted, and arranged the appointment. When we got there Ben didn't seem to have a clue who we were or why we were there. He then told us the car we wanted to drive had been sold, and wanted us to drive either the diesel or the v8. Neither of this would be an accurate representation of the performance of the inline, turbo-charged, 6 cylinder. An email to let us know the car we wanted to drive would have saved us blocking out our Saturday morning for a test-drive. Overall, a tremendously disappointing experience for what is supposed to be the "ultimate driving machine". We won't be buying from any Lithia dealers in the future, and may instead even choose Mercedes Benz M-class. A rookie/amateur mistake if ever there was one. We were ready to write a check. More

David Padgalskas is by far the easiest to communicate with sales person I have encountered. He was neither put out by my questions, which were many and repetitive, nor encumbered by the time it took to t with sales person I have encountered. I really appreciated his ability to break down the information required without making me feel completely out of my field, which I was. I ended up purchasing from a different dealership, different car, but this had nothing to do with my experience. Finding folks in sales that are knowledgable and personable but not pushy can be tough so I am very pleased and will recommend this dealership, and David in particular, to friends and family. More
I walked into BMW Portland knowing it was time to replace my 9 year old BMW which I loved. I worked with David Padgalskas over the duration of several weeks, test drove multiple cars with multiple options to find the best car and options configuration that matched, or in this case, are even better then my 1st BMW. David was very patient as I analyzed car specs and options. Throughout the process he searched the BMW database multiple times for different cars with different options that would work best for me. Eventually I ordered a car. And it arrived within a much shorter time period than expected! Working with David was easy. He was available when requested and quick to return phone calls/emails. He was courteous, respectful, honest, fair and is straight forward with communication. He was not intimidated by a female who knows cars, and who took the buying process seriously. I highly recommend David if you are looking for a car! More
My experience at BMW Portland was incredibly positive and entirely unexpected. There was an authenticity and sincerity in everyone's interactions that I simply didn't expect to find at a car dealership. entirely unexpected. My sales guy, Benjamin, adjusted quickly to my expectations for a consultative, collaborative sales process. He was consistently professional, well-informed about his products, and somehow managed to be gently insistent without becoming pushy or evasive. Benjamin also exhibited no prejudice whatsoever - I'm about a decade younger than typical buyers of the vehicle class I purchased and sales people at other dealerships often won't even talk to be because of it. That positive experience continued throughout the sale - even the final stage contracts person graciously received my rejection of his service up-sells. This is my third BMW, each at a different Northwest dealership. The first experience was miserable; the second was good but my sales person isn't there any more and I didn't like the feel of the place on subsequent visits. After this purchase, I expect all my future business to be at BMW Portland, and I will recommend them generally, and Benjamin specifically, to my friends and co-workers without hesitation. The only downside is that their physical layout precludes simply wandering around their inventory on your own as I usually prefer to do, but that is mostly mitigated by the friendliness of their staff. Brent is very professional and knowledgeable about various makes/models. He made me feel comfortable and explained all of the features of the vehicles I was interested in. WARNING!!!! Updated. This dealership is as shady as they come BEWARE! I was trying to resolve an issue with service due to a number of issues I was having. The general manager in one conversation accused my of trying to extort money by requesting they REFUND of my labor costs since they couldn't fix the issues I was having multiple times or just outright refusing to address issues. Then THE GM Mr Clarke threatened to extort money from me by charging me extra for previous free loaners. That is extortion. I was berated, belittled, threatened and then they said I should bring my car back to them so I could repeat the experience. No thank you. I would also like to point out that this kind of harassment hinges on criminal. THEY DO NOT HONOR THE GUARANTEES THEY SET. They are Forcing me to take legal action since they have no intention of refunding my money even though I will never bring my car back to them so they can do more damage or allow them the chance to my vehicle or take more of my money. Every copy paste response to these reviews is a sham and this dealer will be brought to justice, but I am posting these to protect you the reader and possible customer from an absolute nightmare of an experience.
