Top notch customer service I worked with Luke Trelease (sales) and Jamie Kleser (genius) in purchasing my 440i and have to say it was the most enjoyable car-buying experience I I worked with Luke Trelease (sales) and Jamie Kleser (genius) in purchasing my 440i and have to say it was the most enjoyable car-buying experience I have ever had. They were professional, courteous and most importantly made me and my family feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Great all around experience! I really had three people I was working with at BMW Portland: Ryann Bayless in service, Trevor Jollie in sales, and Jamie Kleser as my genius. They we I really had three people I was working with at BMW Portland: Ryann Bayless in service, Trevor Jollie in sales, and Jamie Kleser as my genius. They were all fantastic! All three are easy to get in touch with, helped me with anything I needed, and made the whole experience of getting my X5 worked on and leasing me a new 330e easy and pleasant. I'd definitely recommend any or all of those folks. I had to get another car, a Toyota, worked on at the same time at a different dealership, and the difference between the two dealerships is night and day. Everything about the whole experience impressed me so much that I'm already thinking about the next BMW I'll get. More

By the time Eric and I met up, I was familiar enough with the car to know what I didn't know. Eric ('s genius) is a gem. He's enthusiastic about the BMW lineup, and his knowledge of the complex advanced technology of the 530e are impressive. The tutorial and customization he provided were what I needed. And, his follow-through is thorough. He's already contacted me to ask if I have any additional questions, and I appreciate the opportunity to meet with him again if the need arises. More
The Genius Experience While I've been a BMW owner for years, and have now purchased 7 cars from BMW Portland, there's always something new to learn, especially with their e While I've been a BMW owner for years, and have now purchased 7 cars from BMW Portland, there's always something new to learn, especially with their electric model, the i3. We've actually purchased TWO of them since Jan. 1, and because of my hectic business schedule, couldn't get with Eric Devier, their "BMW Genius" until this past week after we took delivery on our second i3. As he has with our past vehicles, Eric was kind enough to stop by the house and spend about an hour with us, going over all the intricacies of the vehicle. Again, though I consider myself fairly up to speed on the car, he was able to show us a number of cool things about the i3s that we didn't know. And, he also programmed the onboard garage door openers in both cars, which I NEVER seem to be able to get right on my own - bravo! He even eased our skepticism, with an awesome demo of the cars ability to parallel park itself! It is always a pleasure to work with Eric. He is thorough, friendly, and fun. I always come away with one of his sessions knowing even more about the cars I love. We have four BMWs in our fleet now, all purchased and serviced at Portland BMW. And I really appreciate that Eric is a car guy through and through, sharing my enthusiasm for BMW. That always shines through. After owning every other premier auto, we are 110% sold on BMW and Portland BMW. Every aspect of car ownership - sales, service and support is always a pleasure with this crew. They take fantastic care of my wife and I. More
10 Out of 10 Buying Experience I had just flown into Portland at 5:30pm and was exhausted but I had to go look at this car that Greg was telling me about at the Portland BMW in whic I had just flown into Portland at 5:30pm and was exhausted but I had to go look at this car that Greg was telling me about at the Portland BMW in which he had been helping while I was still in California and not yet completely moved for the past 2 weeks. I get to the dealership about a hour before it closes that evening and I am greeted by Greg finally after going back and fourth in emails and phone calls. He takes me to the car and I immediately fall in love so we hop in the car for a test drive. Greg's product knowledge and career with BMW for the past 20+ years really shined through when explaining everything from the features of the car, dimensions, specs, handling to even the leather upholstery of seats. Greg made it about getting to know who I was as a person and took the time to go above and beyond with his customer service skills till next thing you knew it was 2 hours over normal closing hours and I was in my new car! I am in Sales my self and Greg exemplified the exact thing that I would like all my employees to have which was building a relationship with someone instead of looking at them as just a number. BMW is very fortunate to have Greg and I will be going back to him no matter where I am at, THATS A FACT! More

He showed me the new features and walked me through setting up my iDrive system and seamlessly connecting the car to my iPhone, and explained how the car remembers preferences between two drivers with their own keys. I wasn't sure that I needed the Genius appointment when it was first set up for me, but I was so glad I went! Eric made everything feel clear and simple and I drove away feeling more confident and connected to my awesome new car. Thanks! More

Poor after sales, dropped the ball on my car's registration Oh how much I wanted to give them good feedback. This dealership is run as if it's got no management. I had such a poor experience here, that I just had to come here and warn all prospective car buyers. I regret my decision to give them my business. Tl:DR : BMW Portland has horrible after sales support, poorly trained and irresponsible staff and the managers dont like to talk to customers and/or solve their problems. Long Version: The sale process went ok apart from a very long wait and me having to tell the finance agent the places I need to sign. the main issue is post sales though due to which I would give them negative stars. Firstly, the dealership 'forgot' to refund my deposit even though my lender had sent payment in full. It took me more around a couple of weeks to get back my $2000. The main issue was with the registration, the dealership just forgot about it. My temp permit was to expire and I kept sending mail after mail to get the status. Eventually I got an email from an office assistant (Laura DeIeso) that she was behind on paperwork (wow!) and she would be sending me a temp permit as my temp permit was expiring. However the kicker was that the temp permit was expiring today and had I not asked, the dealership was not even tracking my car. I wanted to know who would pay for my transport at night (Friday) and next morning. Crickets!. I had to alter my Friday night plans and skipped watching Wonder Woman due to these people. I called Laura and I told her it was unacceptable that they allowed my temp permit to expire and its only because i called did they realize and sent a new one. Her response was priceless "You may think its unacceptable but we don't". She actually told me the law gives her 30 days to register the car, of-course irrelevant to the temp permit expiring. How is someone like this even allowed to talk to customers. I routinely take calls with clients, if I said that to anyone even at a place where the customer is at fault, I would be fired the next day. I asked to be transferred to a manager, and was put on an infinite hold by Laura. Another cheap tactic from the dealer. I called the dealership directly who again couldnt get me in touch with a manager but I left a voicemail for the GM Andrew who again never called back. Its strange how behavior changes before and after sales. For some reason UPS didnt leave the package at my door despite me authorizing shipment release and today being a Saturday, I am out of luck and without a car for 2 days. I guess that is what you get for trusting the folks at BMW of Portland. More
