From Service to Purchase During a service visit for my aging 2005 TL I asked Steve a few questions regarding a newer TL in the showroom. It ended up with a test drive and th During a service visit for my aging 2005 TL I asked Steve a few questions regarding a newer TL in the showroom. It ended up with a test drive and then another with an RLX which really caught my eye. On our return to the dealership the diagnosis on my vehicle was complete. Knowing it's life was limited I inquired about trade value and continued speaking with Steve about the vehicle. There was never any pressure which would have turned me off right away. He knew everything about the car, answered my countless questions, concerns, etc. Finally I just told him what I felt would be fair after doing some research on different sites, etc. right there on my phone. He brought it to the manager and got the go ahead. I committed, came back a few days later to pick up the vehicle, and noticed a scratch on the bumper as it was all cleaned up for my pickup. Steve nor I noticed it previously, but I told him I can't take it like that and without any push back agreed and said I can either take it then and bring it back, or he will call me when it's done. Three days later I got the call and was delighted on arrival. My 2014 literally looks brand new! Steve spent more than an hour sitting in the car showing me all it's features, answering more questions, and giving me lots of useful information. It truly was a pleasant, stress free experience, especially in light of the fact that I never intended to purchase a vehicle and in the past when buying a vehicle have engaged in pretty heavy haggling wars before purchasing. Vanessa in finance and the people out back who prepped the vehicle did an equally outstanding job for me. I have and will continue to refer family and friends to Steve Ashe at Acura of Peabody. More
