Our sales consultant was Nick Despotopoulos, but everyone was super nice and welcoming. Nick was knowledgeable, courteous and most importantly friendly. Acura Carland is definitely the best place to shop for your new car! Lied to us to get the sale. My husband and I were suddenly needing a new car for our family after an accident. So with our 21 month old in tow we went off to Acura Carland. O My husband and I were suddenly needing a new car for our family after an accident. So with our 21 month old in tow we went off to Acura Carland. Our sales guy Britt Kaminsky sold us on a 2005 Acura MDX with the touring package. (Touring = more $$). Britt told us several times how the Woodruff family owns the dealership. That they replace the brakes and tires on new used cars that have 50% or more wear. That their Acura certified tech looked over the car and it's it's excellent condition. Britt sold us on the car stating that other than oil changes we won't have to do anything else to the car. That EVERYTHING else had been taken care of. Not so. The tires on the car were put on 45,000 miles ago. They are rated for 55,000. Another Acura Certified Tech measured the tread as low. Stated they would need to be replaced very soon. In other words they have more than 50% wear. The brakes are all at 50% or more wear. The rear need replacing soon. The back rotors need to be refinished. This is what another Acura Certified Tech told us. Oh. The bluetooth feature Britt totally talked up to my husband doesn't work. Turns out that the Bluetooth units on older Acura are known to burn out. I've reached out to Britt with our issues. He claims his hands are tied. That the other Acura Certified Tech is lying to us. Trying to get a sale. When pressed about what appears to be a made up policy on replacing items with 50% or more wear he doesn't answer. Britt lied to us about their 50% or more wear policy. Lied to us when he said we wouldn't have to do anything to it for a long time. Other then oil changes. To get us to buy a car from him. So disappointed. We reached out to him and Acura and nothing has been resolved. More
