Brought my truck in for service for an oil change ,engine shut down while driving, engine noise while driving and radio cuts out. They couldn’t replicate the issue with the engine or the radio but they were shut down while driving, engine noise while driving and radio cuts out. They couldn’t replicate the issue with the engine or the radio but they were able to diagnose the radio as having a faulty APIM at the cost of $1500 to replace but could not explain how they determined the Apim was bad other than it failed a pin point test. If they couldn’t repeat the condition how did it fail the pin point test The engine diagnose fee was covered under warranty I agreed to pay the diagnostic fee for the radio of $220 but expected a good explanation on how the determined I needed a $1500 repair I felt I got charged $220 for a You Tube mechanic diagnose instead of a Ford Service Proper diagnose I bought 2 new fords from the previous ownership of this dealership in 2014 and 2018 we are considering purchasing a new explorer but. Found out my credit got pulled over 20 times. This dealer should tell you how many banks they will send your info to before going ahead and ruining your credit history… very disappointing!!
