I would like to share with you my experience at the dealership last Saturday November 15th. I had purchased my lease in this dealership in early August, and my vehicle was in an accident on October 30t dealership last Saturday November 15th. I had purchased my lease in this dealership in early August, and my vehicle was in an accident on October 30th (about two months later). The vehicle had 40,000 miles (2021 Hyundai Sonata) and I purchased extended warranty even though I had another two years and another 60k miles left before the extended warranty would kick in. In addition to the extended warranty, I purchased an overpriced GAP coverage of $1,200. The warranty was $3,800 plus $1,200 for the GAP, about $5k. Because the vehicle was deemed a total loss, the insurance company settled with the Lender, in this case Bank of America and sent them $17,293. The loan at this point will be 3k short after the settlement. I went to this dealership on Saturday to speak with Lupo and to request a refund to the lender for the extended warranty and the GAP. Now, to the reason of my complaint here. When I walked into the dealership, a salesman was kind enough to greet me and ask how he can help, I told him the reason for my visit and he walked me to his desk and went onto talk to a finance manager. As a customer, I expect the finance manger to take me to his office and discuss this with me, instead this turned into a back and forward messaging between me, the salesman and Lupo, not only this is unprofessional from Lupo but a complete disrespect for me as customer. This sends a clear message to me “Family Hyundai” does not care for current clients, and disabled veterans from the military (yes I am a disabled military veteran) only for new buyers. I bring this to your attention because instances like this can damage your dealer’s reputation. Here is what I would like to see to make this right. I would like to get an update and also proof that Lupo processed my refund for the GAP and the extended warranty to my lender in the entire amount as there is no reason whatsoever to receive any less as I did not use either the GAP or the warranty. I am looking forward to any one at this dealership to show their face and reach out to make this right!! More
