Mike our service advisor was the worst ever. Absolutely no communication and ignored my wife completely. Not until the Service Manager Doug got involved to finish the process. James Woods customer service has been Awesome until this visit. If I had an employee that treated my customers like Mike he would be looking for a new job. More

Basis for my 2-star rating: My 2024 Silverado was to be serviced for a Chevrolet initiated recall software update AND a "Service Trailer Brake System" fault. When the appointment was schedule I notified th serviced for a Chevrolet initiated recall software update AND a "Service Trailer Brake System" fault. When the appointment was schedule I notified the service department of both items and offered to send pictures of the dash error messages - which occur frequently throughout any drive - but they were declined. The dealer only software update was completed but the trailer brake system was not repaired due to lack of the trailer brake switch part which was ordered and I was asked to return a few days later. I live in New Mexico and brought the truck to James Wood for service while in the Denton area visiting family. My return to NM prevented service the following week. I notified the Service Dept. scheduler and the Service Advisor that I required the vehicle for my return trip to NM. I understand the Service Dept. must diagnose any issue versus accepting the customer's diagnosis BUT I offered pictures and know from internet research that this issue has been a common problem for several model years of the Silverado, including the 2024s. I was disappointed to learn that the part for a common issue was not available in the parts department and would require a second service appointment at a later date. At this point, I will have to find a dealer in Albuquerque that can address the issue, which will also likely require 2 visits. Disappointing and not my experience with previous James Wood visits.
