I didn’t like customer service. I was told I would have a loaner and when I got there they didn’t have any. Also I had to come back to get a piece on the car they had to order That I had paid for. The guy ac loaner and when I got there they didn’t have any. Also I had to come back to get a piece on the car they had to order That I had paid for. The guy acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. I’m definitely not going back here. More

I found the waiting area very clean and wifi very strong. Good when you are waiting 2.5 hours for your car to be serviced. I liked the service manager- he gave me a time estimate to complete the job, and st Good when you are waiting 2.5 hours for your car to be serviced. The customer service given was mediocre! I worked with Mike usually and was very disappointed that didn’t have the chance to work with him. His service was fantastic! If I could give zero stars I would. I went in with a check engine light and they told me after 24 hours to check what the light was for (they didn't do any actual inspection and still charged me $190 to check engine light and they told me after 24 hours to check what the light was for (they didn't do any actual inspection and still charged me $190 to read the check engine light) that I needed $800 worth of fluids and $1500 for a cracked charcoal canister for the EVAP system. I had just gotten this repaired and they told me the part would not be under warranty, the vehicle was not safe to drive, and if I didn't want to put the money into the car I should just sell it to them. I took it to the shop where I originally got the EVAP system fixed and they did a full inspection and found that the issue was I was missing a rubber ring in my gas cap. It was $37.... The VW of Downtown Chicago tried to charge my $2500 and convince me my car was undrivable when all I needed was a rubber ring. The fact that they went out of their way to try to get me to sell them my car, make me think it was a safety matter, and lied to me about the warranty is absolutely manipulative and unacceptable. I would never recommend anyone go there. More
