Wonderful,thorough,clean. As always our recent two hour roundtrip to Wilmington for service at Coastal Kia was well worth it. Cody met us at the door to check us in turning us over to the expert care of Bob Tomlin on the front end, r service at Coastal Kia was well worth it. While on the grounds we enjoyed the plenteous courtesy snacks and beverages, wi-fi and television and magazines. All that is standard at Coastal; it’s the extra attention that satisfies, however. We’ve never been there that Pat the owner didn’t personally appear in the showroom to at least flash a smile if busy, as he did this visit, but most always a kind word or even conversation. This time around I was especially aware of some new young, hungry faces; the next generation of men and women who are our future: willing and wanting to work to make our country’s economy flourish. I enjoyed interacting with as many as I could without making myself an Old-man nuisance. One such rising star was Joshua La Bron. He went out of his way to share his story of making Coastal Kia his livelihood. His personality and professionalism, at such a young age, let me know he will do his part to keep Coastal Kia at the top of every chart in the Automotive industry. My salesman for my most recent of many Kia purchases was also there: Kelvin Swinson. It is always good to hear from him any new innovations that may lead to our next trade, but also feel the confidence that remains in him that our purchase was not just a notch on his belt, but the real blessing to us we wanted and need our primary vehicle to be. We feel that confidence because it’s projected by him, Pat, and Coastal Kia’s greatest asset, John Wigger. From the first time we stepped on the lot in 2019, it was John who gave me his word that I would get good service on the fourth, fifth and now sixth of the Kia’s we have purchased in a row. We came in a 2015 Sportage for service, having moved from the Raleigh area, but drove off the lot in a brand new Soul. When we traded that Soul for another Sportage, the service was seamless, always relying on John for advice. If an exceptional car buying, maintaining and enjoying experience is what you want, do yourself a favor and go see Pat and his staff at Coastal Kia. More

Second opinion needed before getting work done because recommended work may not be required. I had NC State Inspection done February 21, 2023. Passed inspection but SUV needed "immediate attention" for recommended work may not be required. I had NC State Inspection done February 21, 2023. Passed inspection but SUV needed "immediate attention" for rear brake pads near limit (2 mm each). Took SUV to Firestone to have rear brake pads replaced and both brake pads measured 6 mm. No work needed. Second, on May 8, 2023 the Kia service shop said front wheel "Alignment Required". Again, I took car to Firestone to have front wheel alignment done. Firestone checked front wheel alignment and it was good. No work needed. Lesson learned = get second opinion. More

I had an appointment and arrived before the service department had opened. Several of the employees made a point to say hello. When I pulled in I was greeted and taken right in. He double check with me department had opened. Several of the employees made a point to say hello. When I pulled in I was greeted and taken right in. He double check with me about what was going to be done to the vehicle. After check in he walked me to the waiting area explaining where everything was and if I had any questions to feel free to contact him. I was told approximate completion time but the vehicle was finished ahead of schedule. This was by far the best experience I ever had with any service department. I will be back. More

As a new customer to the Service Department, I was surprised at the friendly reception I received.
