I was searching online for a used Ford Edge but couldn't find the exact model I was looking for until I found the 2024 Ford Edge at Ford of Montebello. I reached out via the site and asked for more info. Julio called and informed me they still had it and we set up an appointment for me to come in. I drove up from San Diego to see the car. When I arrived everyone was extremely friendly and said hi. Julio introduced me to Fabian who was going to go on the test drive with me. Fabian showed me the different features the Edge had and how to use them. There was a great deal on the car and it was brand new. So I told Julio and Fabian I'd take it. The whole process was easy. Julio and I discussed numbers and warranties. I signed the papers with Sandy from Finance who made the process go smoothly. She answered all my questions I had about the papers. This was one of the easiest car purchase I've made. Highly recommend this dealership.

Really came through on my 2023 Bronco. My original 2021 4 door automatic order was delayed again to a 2024. South Bay Ford had a 2 door manual on the lot. Because of the issues on my original order they gave me a great price on the 2 door that more than made up for loosening 2 doors and the automatic. After driving it now for a few days I’m very happy with the quality, price, and South Bay Ford (not so much for Ford Motor Company with their total lack of communication and ability to produce my original order)

4 stars. Not a completely honest, "straight shooter" dealership, but also not so shady that I wouldn't do business with them. I found a used car at a good price. I asked by email if I could get the car at the advertised price, without any hidden or tacked on dealer fees. The salesman said "yes". So I went to the dealership drove the car and said I would buy it. Then they tried to convince me to buy a paint protection package and a GPS tracking device and an extended warranty. I told them "no" to all of those. Then when it came time to sign the paperwork, there was an additional $895 fee for a "service package" sneakily hidden away into the taxes and fees. I asked them what that was for? They said it would cover servicing the vehicle, such as oil changes. I replied with, you know I'm buying an EV from you and they don't use engine oil and don't need oil changes, right? And the finance manager replies, "Oh, that must be a mistake, but in order to change it, I'll have to get permission from the general manager and then re-do all of the paperwork." So after wasting an additional 45 minutes of my time and the finance manager's time, they came back with a contract that was for the agreed on price + sales tax + around $200 in fees, which is what I was expecting when I walked into the dealership. Not a horrible experience, but you have to keep an eye on them, because they will try shady tactics on you, if you let them.

I live in the Las Vegas area but my 2002 F150 popped a spark plug when I was in Glendale. Star Ford knew I was from out of town and I’m certain that they overcharged me to repair the vehicle as they knew I didn’t live in the area and I had little choice, because getting the truck to another place to fix the issue would have been a logistical nightmare. The cylinder that lost the plug was right up at the front driver side of the engine and was easily accessible. Installing a helix should have taken about an hour, maybe two on the outside if the mechanic working on it was high and liked to take a lot of breaks. But Star Ford claimed that this was a 7 to 8 hour job! They ended up charging me almost $1900 to install a SINGLE HELIX. And then they had the gall to offer to change out the remaining spark plugs for an additional $600?!? What the f--- are they smoking in Star Ford of Glendale?? The service tech Sam Davis was polite and professional, but she seemed to have little sway (or little interest) in ensuring that the service manager didn’t bend me over on the charges. Star Ford is the kind of dealership that makes people not trust the automobile industry. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR SERVICE. There are plenty of smaller mechanic shops in the area that would have done the work for less than $800 (some, a LOT less) and would have had the work done more quickly. I only wish that I had AAA take to one of those places instead. Avoid Star Ford at all costs for service. FOLLOW UP - Manny the service manager for Star Ford got in touch with me regarding my complaint and refunded a substantial amount of my payment. His decision to do that was appreciated by me and I’m thankful that he took the time to make things right. Looks like Star Ford owns up to their mistakes and they do what they can to make the customer happy. Good job, Manny!

Bought a new 2014 Ford Fusion on Black Friday. Lyndon and Justin in the sales department did an excellent job and I cannot enough good things about them. I negotiated a great deal on the vehicle. When I got to the finance department I put a small amount on a credit card and the rest in a personal check. I trusted that Tim in the financial department who works with numbers all the time was giving me a final amount that I needed to write the check for which was accurate. He overcharged me by $950.00!! I only discovered the "mistake" or overcharge the next day when I slowly went over the contract with a calculator. I called him that night but he was busy with another customer and told me to call back the next day. When I did, he did not act surprised or concerned but agreed to refund the money immediately. Almost as though he knew about the miscalculation. I expected him to tell me he wanted to go over the contract again to make sure there were no other errors but he did not. The next day I called Jim Buerge (the owner of the dealership). He did apologize, but did not seem to concerned and stated "mistakes do happen and we sold a lot of cars that day" ( on Black Friday 2013). I wonder if he would have been so forgiving if his finance man had made the error in my favor?? If you decide to buy from this dealership watch out for what I believe was bait and switch game. Give a great sales price and then stick it to them in the final contract. I highly recommend you slowly go over the final contract line by line with your own calculator to make sure all of the numbers are correct. I will not be taking my new Ford to Buerge Ford for service and will not recommend any one do business with them. The Fusion is a great car...just make sure you find an honest and reliable dealership who will not attempt to rip you off.

From the moment we met Josiah, he was welcoming, friendly, and truly professional. We shared some of the issues we had experienced elsewhere, and instead of brushing them off, he listened, understood where we were coming from, and made the entire process smooth and comfortable. He was attentive without being pushy, transparent throughout, and easy to work with from start to finish. His manager was also great and worked with us to help make the deal happen, which really showed a strong team effort. No games, no pressure — just honest communication and great service.
