This is our third Toyota vehicle we have purchased at Cavender in the last few years. The reason we return is because of the exceptional customer service. Customer service is not what it used to be. Three sales individuals assisted us with our purchase; Mr. Albert Perez, Brianna and Solomon. They went above and beyond. They were professional, patient, and courteous. They answered all of our questions. We appreciate that we were treated with respect every moment we were there. Thank you!

BUYER BEWARE - Fraudulent Misrepresentation of Vehicle Condition** I purchased a 2013 Toyota Corolla on June 12, 2025, from Mike Shaw Toyota for $10,500 after their salesperson texted me that the vehicle was in "mint condition." Since I live 3.5 hours away, I had to rely completely on their word and the photos they sent me. **What They Promised:** - Texted "mint condition" - Sent selective photos hiding damage - Assured me there were no issues when I specifically asked **What I Actually Received:** - Extensive paint deterioration and rust formation across THE ENTIRE roof, hood, and trunk - One bad tire (told all tires were "good condition") - Non-working tire pressure monitoring system - Suspension needing replacement within a year **The paint damage is so severe that bare metal is showing and rust is forming. This is NOT normal wear - this is obvious damage that existed when they sold it to me.** **Deceptive Sales Practices:** - Made me pay the full $10,500 BEFORE allowing me to sign the contract - Deliberately took photos that hid the extensive roof/hood/trunk damage - Claimed "mint condition" while knowing about obvious paint failure - Discovered all issues within 24 hours of delivery **Financial Impact:** Professional estimates show $3,000-$5,000 needed to repair the paint damage they concealed. I specifically bought this car because I needed something reliable that wouldn't need immediate repairs. **This wasn't just poor disclosure - this was deliberate fraud.** The paint deterioration covers 50%+ of the vehicle's visible surfaces. Any honest inspection would have revealed this damage immediately. **I am currently pursuing resolution through legal channels and regulatory complaints.** **AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP.** Their "mint condition" promise was worthless, and they use high-pressure tactics like demanding full payment before contract signing. Don't make the same mistake I did - inspect any vehicle thoroughly before purchase, because Mike Shaw Toyota cannot be trusted to honestly represent their inventory. **UPDATE: Dealer agreed to allow me to return the vehicle for a full refund**

Today’s service experience was another circus! My first appointment was 6/19/25 at 2:00 PM. Waited over ten minutes just to get under the portico - then another five minutes for a service tech - who advised a wait for 1.5 hours for an oil change. This was unacceptable, so I made a new appointment for today, 6/20/25 at 9:00 AM. A repeat of the previous day’s circus! Finally left car and went inside to physically select a tech to wait on me! He finally gets my paperwork done and I walk across to the main showroom and request to speak to the service manager. I’m taken back to the service area and the manager is notified I’m waiting to speak with him. I stand there another ten minutes with no response, so I returned to the waiting room. About 10-15 minutes later the Assistant Manager comes to me… I related to him (T.J.) that his manager (Don Wheeler) needs to be attentive to customers physically in the dealership instead of staying on the phone this entire time - as T.J. Advised he had been! As a former business owner myself, I learned (and practiced) that if you are short-handed you take care of customers yourself- the ones that are physically bringing their business to you- and return phone messages later when time allows! There are no acceptable excuses for yesterday or today’s lack of customer service and care! Obviously, making appointments makes no difference at all!!’

The F&I representative however came out and did not address my wife, the primary, first but came to me. This leaves the feel of misogyny and is unacceptable. Training and coaching would help. Several of the guest chairs in the waiting area are torn and mirrors in the restrooms are damaged. All in all the experience was positive but could be far better.
