Misleading Oil Change Advertisement and Disappointing Experience I received a flyer advertising a $49 oil change and tire rotation for “all makes and models.” Since the flyer did not clearly state tha Experience I received a flyer advertising a $49 oil change and tire rotation for “all makes and models.” Since the flyer did not clearly state that the offer was restricted to one specific vehicle, I decided to use it for my 2017 Nissan Sentra and save a little money. I called beforehand to ask whether I needed an appointment, but the virtual assistant could not answer my question. Since I prefer to walk in and wait, I drove approximately 15 miles to the dealership. When I arrived, a service employee told me that an appointment was not required. At the front desk, the representative looked up my information and asked whether I was bringing in my 2024 Equinox. I explained that I had brought my other vehicle, the Nissan Sentra. She then told me that the coupon could not be used for another vehicle. This was frustrating because the advertisement clearly says “all makes and models,” and I did not see anything clearly explaining that it was limited to a particular vehicle. I feel the flyer successfully brought me into the dealership, but the conditions were misleading and caused me to waste time and gas. I had even been considering purchasing a Toyota truck as my next vehicle, but after this experience, I am reconsidering that decision. I hope the dealership makes the restrictions on future advertisements much clearer and improves the information provided to customers before they make the drive. More
