Volvo XC 90 - XC90 buyer

Narrowed my vehicle search to three different models. Test drove two Volvo XC90s at two different dealers. Santa Fe Volvo was the better of the two deals. Second Volvo and hope the experience with service and maintenance department will be as good as it was when I owned my first XC90. I worked with Early J. and he was very pleasant to work with as we came to an agreed upon deal.

Started my experience online by shopping the entire nation for a truck. When the right one was found, I had it shipped to the ABQ. dealership. This place had my truck up front waiting for me when I arrived. All in all, I was there for less than 90 minutes and the transaction was very smooth. I will shop this way for a car again.

Overall good experience. I liked the ability to search on the exact car I wanted with alerts and no haggling. I ordered my car from another state, and it came in about 10 days. The one frustrating part of the experience was that every time I visited my local CarMax which was about four times (and a couple of phone calls), I had to deal with a new person who was not up to speed on what happened the last time I was in, so one step forward and two steps back to get back to where I left off. I understand that this is part of the way CarMax works, so just be prepared you won't always have the same person or even be able to get them on the phone. However, everyone was professional, nice and eager to help. One other slightly frustrating part was that financing outside of CarMax was a little bumpy in the paperwork. Don't let that deter you, it was definitely worth the research and a little extra time. I am thrilled with my purchase and after considering and dealing with a different auto dealer in the same search, CarMax won out.
