I've had some terrible dealership experiences, so I prefer to use our family mechanic whenever possible. That said, a recall on my daughter's Elantra GT left me no choice but to set up an appointment at our local Hyundai dealer (deep breath). I arrived a half hour before my appointment, got out of my car, and went to the service desk. Much to my surprise, I was greeted by a Hyundai staff member who was well-mannered, respectful, and very kind-hearted. As a matter of fact, all three men I interacted with during my visit were absolute gentlemen. When I returned to pick up my daughter's car, I purchased a rear windshield wiper from the parts department, and AGAIN, I received the same warm, genuinely kind response from the girl who was working the parts desk. The part was paid for and in my hands within five minutes. In my 55 years of driving, I have never had such a positive experience with dealership employees. Kudos to the H & R department for hiring A+ people - the service was fantastic!
