Avoid Group 1 Toyota of Austin if you value honesty and transparency. This was one of the most manipulative car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. The window sticker was not clearly shown to me, and I was not given straightforward information about the vehicle’s true value. The numbers kept shifting. I was quoted a specific final monthly payment. Then, right before signing, I noticed the payment had been increased. That is not a “mistake” — that’s misleading. Hidden fees were also added that were never clearly disclosed upfront. What made it worse was the pressure. When I tried to step back and leave, my car was blocked in and I wasn’t immediately given my keys. No dealership should ever make a customer feel trapped during a major financial decision. This felt like high-pressure sales tactics designed to wear customers down rather than earn their business honestly. I regret purchasing here and would strongly encourage others to double-check every number and not let themselves be pressured.
