My son had talked to Jason on the phone on Monday stating what kind of a car I would be trading and that we would be in after work on Wednesday. He gave me three car options to explore and met all the needs that I required in trading such as amount of trade in, monthly payments, lease versus purchase. Very polite. When the condition were all satisfactory, he had the car cleaned, gassed, went over options. Very personable. More
My husband and I have been shopping for a Jeep Wrangler for quite some time and are pleased to say we finally found one at St. Charles Automotive! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, we have no co for quite some time and are pleased to say we finally found one at St. Charles Automotive! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, we have no complaints. Steve was wonderful and answered all of the questions we had. Unlike other car sales men he was very patient and willing to work with us. We were quite indecisive and unsure of what we wanted in a Jeep and would probably still be looking for one had he not been so helpful. I highly recommend this dealer and look forward to coming back for future vehicle purchases. More
We were impressed by our salesman, Jason, because of his professional, easy going demeanor with us. He let us show him what we wanted in a car, which was possibly a 2012 Sonata, but he showed us that he cou professional, easy going demeanor with us. He showed us the Sonata's features and engine, etc, and took time with us to explain all the aspects of the Sonata. We never felt like he was in a hurry so he could rush off to make his next sale. We decided to buy the Sonata and when we went to pick it up that Monday when the car was ready, Jason carefully showed us all the various buttons and knobs and how everything works. Once again, we felt like he was prepared to take as much time with us as we needed. We felt very fortunate that, by the luck of the draw, we had Jason Freed as our sales person that day. His low key, easy going manner coupled with his extensive knowledge of his product made for a very nice experience in purchasing a new car. More
2013 Hyundai Accent SE First-time buyer and loving it! My story: I was nervous, skeptical and reluctant to buy - this would be my first major purchase independent of anyone. Seemingly, every dealership offer story: I was nervous, skeptical and reluctant to buy - this would be my first major purchase independent of anyone. Seemingly, every dealership offers "the best deals." After 3 months of research, I finally decided on the car that I wanted to buy/lease. The next step was to find the dealership...the right dealership, one that was fitting for me. I narrowed it down to three. After my visit to the first dealership, I was ready to check out the next one on my list. Not to say that the offer was not within range; rather, my intuition was telling me to go elsewhere. I ventured out to St. Charles Hyundai and met with Jason Freed. He and I had corresponded via email and phone prior to. Because of my busy schedule, I knew the car purchase would have to be on a Saturday. The earliest I could get to St. Charles was around 5p, dealership closes at 6p...I did not get there until about 5:30p. I knew exactly what I wanted: make, model, payment options, etc. Jason listened to everything with an open mind. This car needed to be perfect for me, I was not ready to settle for anything less. When he gave me his list of inventory, I asked about a sunroof. Details like this make a big difference to me. Jason had one Accent on the lot with a sunroof. I was not crazy about the color but the minute I walked out to the lot and saw it, I knew this was the car for me. Next step: talking numbers. One of the reasons why I chose Hyundai: Consumer reports maintaining the new Hyundais to be affordable, safe, consistent, and a solid investment. Thus, I planned my budget accordingly and figured out what I could realistically afford. I chose to lease with an option to trade-in/buy. From there, Jason was creative in figuring how to get me the deal that I wanted in a way to help his business and to help me. He took the time to explain the details, answered all of my questions and provided insight that diluted my concerns. If anything, I think I was rushing him to get to the driving-point (no pun intended) of writing up the lease and signing. I was anxious to commit within the first 10 minutes (though I did not tell him that) - my intuition was calling! Note: It was not until after 6p that I was about to leave when Jason told me his boss wanted to me. The owner of the dealership wanted to personally thank me for the business opportunity and to congratulate me on being a first-time buyer. It was genuine. I also think it says a lot about him as an owner: his presence in the office after hours on a Saturday night. That type of commitment to one's work and his people is not all too common lately; I appreciate that type of work ethic so much that it reaffirmed this was the right place to be for this purchase. The following Monday, I called Jason to let him know I would be stopping in to officially sign and hopefully drive away in my new car. It was getting late again per my busy schedule at work. Also, I was driving a different car at the time lent to me by a family member. The logistics of this delivery would not be convenient for Jason. While he did not realize I wanted to take the car immediately, he still made it happen and did so without hesitating. He rounded up a colleague who quickly followed suit. We were a caravan of 3 cars driving from St. Peters to Chesterfield during rush-hour on an extremely frigid winter night (30-40 minute drive.) I was ecstatic: everything was falling into place. I had no idea signing on to lease/buy could be easy. I am still not sure that it is, but Jason and the group at St. Charles made it seem effortless. Note: Before I started going to the dealerships, I had been reaching out to local dealers online. Jason was first response I received dating back to early December; he had also been sporadically emailing me to check-in. I hadn't realized this until after I was at his dealership. With that, I was very happy to be giving him my business en lieu of his persistence and dedication. Can't say enough my wonderful experience so I will add a few more things: demonstrated utmost professionalism, superior service, compassion, and flexibility. I will be networking for this group and intend to stick with them for as long as possible. Thank you! More

I gave him the exact vehicle and options I wanted and offered him a price. He agreed to the price and started looking. Though he didn't have one on the lot, he located one in the Chicago area. Given that he had to have it driven from Chicago to his dealership, he said he would have to charge a little more for it. I agreed, as long as the vehicle was trucked down, and not driven. He said that trucking would cost even more. After some discussion, he said he would truck it for a little more than my original offer, so I agreed. The car was at his dealership within 3 days. I met Ben face-to-face for the first time on the evening I bought the car. He was cordial, though he talked very fast. The purchase took about 2 1/2 hours because he wanted to be careful to go over every detail with me and wanted to make sure I was happy before I left the dealership. He set up my BlueLink account and also took care of the BlueTooth pairing of my phone to the car. And the price I ended up paying was the original offer I had made (no charge for the transfer to the dealership. Craig handled the financing aspects. This was the only time during the sales experience that I felt somewhat rushed. However, if I asked questions, Craig slowed down and explained things in detail. I chose to finance the car. Without asking, Craig started financing the car at 2.9%. I said that I had seen that a 0.9% rate was available. He said I could choose either of the rates. I'm not sure why he didn't just offer the 0.9% rate to begin with. The reason for the ratings of 4 instead of 5: the buying experience was good, but it still felt like I was just another sale. Maybe it's partly that I'm always on guard when talking to car dealers and repair people. Maybe it's that I felt a little rushed through the process. But I do recommend this dealership to others looking for a Hyundai (or Nissan). More
I decided to purchase my first Hyundai due to all the good things I have heard from people who currently own one or have owned one in the past. The Sales person I dealt with was very knowledgable of the car and treated me with respect and friendliness. this included everyone I dealt with there. I would definitely recommend others to purchase a vehicle there and will absolutely consider purchasing another Hyundai from this dealership. More
