Oil cooler line blew on my 2019 Silverado. Replaced seized rod bearing. Tore apart front suspension to access oil cooler lines. Truck ran WITHOUT oil and I’m being told there’s no long term damage. Got truck back a few days later and as I’m driving home I turned around because my alignment was off. Videos and pictures taken. Picked up next day (Wednesday). Drove to Chicago on Thursday and lost all power in the express lanes with no shoulder. Vehicle would not shift into neutral with no power and had to be dragged by a tow truck because it was a safety concern. My truck “was dragged for 3 blocks” coming from the tow truck driver. I have videos and pictures of my truck being dragged. 3 tow trucks later it’s back at Ray Chevrolet. Liz the service manager called me saying they forgot to tighten down the fuse block ontop of the battery and how they were sorry and were detailing my truck and filling it with gas. I literally don’t care about either of those things. I bought this vehicle for reliability and now my transmission or rear end could be damaged from getting dragged. Also have to mentioned the flat spots put in my rear tires. Liz kept saying she is going to make this right and would drive the truck herself and call me back personally. All I received is a text Friday saying Thank you for choosing Ray Chevrolet for your service needs. We look forward to serving you again. 847-587-3300 Reply STOP to OptOut I get a call Tuesday from Liz asking when I’m going to pick up my truck it’s been done since Friday. Said Kyle was supposed to let me know and told her about the text I received. The text did not specify anything. At the very least I was expecting two tires from all this hassle, stress, and work I had to miss. Very upset with the customer service I received and it pains to write this review since my family and I have done business with Liz and Ray’s team for years. More
the work was complete. the service guy (luis) was professional and courteous. so no complaints about any of this. the only thing i didn't like is that i think the charges a the service guy (luis) was professional and courteous. so no complaints about any of this. the only thing i didn't like is that i think the charges are too high. ($600 labor for at most three hours and the parts were i thought a little overpriced). I'm retired on a fixed budget. in the future, i'm going to have to go to one of the neighborhood mechanics to have work done because it is not as expensive. so, no complaints about anything except the total cost. thank you. More
