DISHONEST! They did not honor the agreed upon price I got via email. They were telling me there is fine print with on-line quotes and they have their fees. Then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't fin got via email. They were telling me there is fine print with on-line quotes and they have their fees. Then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't finance the car with Honda's 0% offer before even taking my credit application. Their tactic is to give low quotes to get you in the door. Clearly they don't care about unnecessary exposure to customers to Covid or wasting their customers' time. They perpetuate the bad reputation of car salesman. Avoid them at all cost. They cannot be trusted. More
This dealership is the worst shopping experience someone could go through. They use terrible tactics to bait you in and even with that I was able to actually negotiate a good deal for myself. However, watch could go through. They use terrible tactics to bait you in and even with that I was able to actually negotiate a good deal for myself. However, watch out for their finance guy when you sign your contract. Once I got to the finance guy he chose to ignore the signed negotiated deal and over charged me the first months payment. As a result of his negligence and incompetence my first months payment was duplicated. Who can be considered a finance manager that over charges their customers. Unacceptable and unprofessional service. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The dealership will rip you off and then will not answer your calls. Also, do not bother with Honda corporate, they are even more useless and incompetent. More
I recently bought a new car after owning my last one for 16years. I was very nervous making a big purchase and not sure of what car would be best for me. V.J. was my sales person and was amazing. He helped 16years. I was very nervous making a big purchase and not sure of what car would be best for me. V.J. was my sales person and was amazing. I don't know what the bad reviews are about. I had a good experience at this dealership. Of course the price they provide online are too good to be true and they do add a bunch of dealers installed optio experience at this dealership. Of course the price they provide online are too good to be true and they do add a bunch of dealers installed options but at the end of it, the price is still competitive as compared to other dealership. Do your homework , know the invoice price and you don't be upset if you negotiate well. I worked with Judy at this dealer and it was a no pressure and pleasent experience. More
NEVER buying another Honda Passport Touring or any other vehicles from Open Road Honda in Edison again. I own a 2019 Passport Touring and can’t even listen to my radio, because the dam radio goes in and out vehicles from Open Road Honda in Edison again. I own a 2019 Passport Touring and can’t even listen to my radio, because the dam radio goes in and out and some days don’t even work at all. I took it to Honda service dept in Edison three times and they don’t know what the hel* is wrong with the radio. The technician guy try to train me on how to disconnect a fuse instead of the battery to reboot the radio (ain’t this some shi*). The service manager (George) gives me the run around and blames corporate for not releasing a software update for my vehicle, so I called corporate and they don’t know what’s going on. Corporate advise to continue taking the vehicle to Open Road Honda Service Dept. This suc*s!! riding in a new vehicle and cant even listen to the radio. Stay away from this dealer. More
Very misleading advertising to pull people into the dealership. In the add it clearly stated that $1295 due at the sign and does not include the doc fee of $699 and tax tag, title. The dealer has a ver dealership. In the add it clearly stated that $1295 due at the sign and does not include the doc fee of $699 and tax tag, title. The dealer has a very smart way of making this all into $6000 due by adding these below (adding an exact email from the dealer). Below is what you will need to pay upfront. "1295 down 595 bank fee Tax (NY, NJ, PA) 995 Destintion 895 Protection package 399 vehicle etch Motor vehicle 699 doc fee 595 Prep fee 1000 loyalty Military, grad, or veteran Open Road Loyalty cash 1,000 1st month payment 69.00" Alice Centeno More
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! They do not deserve the one star rating they are getting. Not only are their advertisements full of garbage, but so is their staff. I contacted them today about one of their one star rating they are getting. Not only are their advertisements full of garbage, but so is their staff. I contacted them today about one of their lease specials. Seemed like a great deal, so before I decided to take a ride there I spoke with Elizabeth who confirmed for me on the phone that the deal was as advertised... that there were no hidden costs, fees, incentives, etc... I go to the dealership and Elizabeth passes me on to another salesperson, Vanessa. Vanessa looks at me like I have three heads when I tell her about my conversation with Elizabeth. She proceeds to pull out a list showing me all of the numerous fees associated with the advertised price. Bottom line, it was about $4,400 more out of pocket than what I had discussed with Elizabeth. But that’s not all... they proceed to lowball me on my trade telling me I was upside down by $5,000 - I was definitely upside down but more like by $2,000. What went from a $189 per month lease with $3,000 out of pocket turned into a quote of close to $600 per month. RUN, don’t walk, away from these crooks. I was warned about this dealer before going there but decided to see for myself after Elizabeth confirmed the advertised price for me. I wish I had listened to those warnings. More

Classic snake dealership. Will lie to get you to come in and then add extras - make you feel pot committed so you just say yes. They are sleazy and try to confuse you. Lots of bait and switch.
