I bought a car from them a month ago.The sales guy was great. The finance manager was able to convince us to get an extended warranty,They said someone's going to call me when my plate becomes available, great. The finance manager was able to convince us to get an extended warranty,They said someone's going to call me when my plate becomes available, which the sales guy said about 10 days.I called them repeatedly and after a month the girl there said it's been there, and that they have called.I told her I have an answering machine and that my celphone is always within reach and I never got a call from them. She could not tell me, specifically when they called cause they never did. Then just recently I got the extended service agreement that's printed on a Nissan booklet, and it says there my dealer is Openroad Morristown NJ, I called the guys from Morristown they said I should call OR Edison, cause there's obviously a mix-up.I called Open road Honda, the operator didn't know where to connect me, after three departments I was connected to Finance. The finance guy said, it's normal practice for them to route extended warranties to dealers within their group with lower rate for the same extended warranty. I asked even if I bought a Honda and not a Nissan? My simple mind cannot fathom their "usual practice", as he said this is normal practice to dealers.I pointed out that this wasn't explained to us at the time of purchase. He reassured I can still call the Nissan number for a Honda question...??????...Not so happy about the aftersales More
I went to this dealership because my girlfriend leased a car here. I asked to test drive the 07 Honda Civic. Almost 10 minutes later the salesman came out to let me drive it. I started backing out and he to car here. I asked to test drive the 07 Honda Civic. Almost 10 minutes later the salesman came out to let me drive it. I started backing out and he told me to stop. He said he had a meeting scheduled and he would get someone else. The 2nd salesman comes into the car and does not talk to me at all. For the whole test drive he just pointed to tell me where to go. Didn't say anything about the car at all. When I got back to the dealership he says, "So are you going to buy it?" I said no I need to look at the car more and think about it. As me and my dad were looking at the car the only things he says to me are it comes with floor mats and it has wheels! Worst salesman ever. Can't remember his name but it was of Indian heritage. I did talk to someone inside about price but he was the only negotiating he was going to do was take $100 off. Good bye! More
UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT, RIP OFF -- DON'T BOTHER UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT, RIP OFF -- DON'T BOTHER I wanted to buy an Honda Element EXP with two-wheel drive and the first place i went to was O UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT, RIP OFF -- DON'T BOTHER I wanted to buy an Honda Element EXP with two-wheel drive and the first place i went to was Open Road Honda because it's nearby. I went to the website and they gave me a price which was reasonable. When I went there and talked to the salesperson Bharat Soni, he showed me what he said was the car I wanted to buy and we proceeded to sign a contract. But after I gave him all my personal information and put down a deposit, he came back and said the car he showed me was actually a 4-wheel drive, which is more expensive.. He said he didn't realize it was a 4-wheel drive and at this point he told us he didn't have a 2WD. After awhile, he came back with a list of four cars that he said he could he swap with other dealers to get me the one I wanted. This was Wednesday, and he said he would call me back by Friday. Friday came, and no phone call. When I called him Saturday, he said the inventory person was out and he would call me back Monday. Monday came and went and I didn't hear from him. I called Tuesday, and he said Monday was a holiday, and he would let me know Wednesday. I didn't hear from him Wednesday. When I called Thursday, he told me he couldn't find the car. So, what happened was: I signed the contract, he didn't have the car, he promised to find an exchange and get it and left me hanging for a week while he held the deposit -- and I still didn't get me the car. Bharat also claimed he didn't call me back because he was "really busy." This was both unprofessional and insulting. Then I asked to talk to the sales manager, Vijay. Finally, I got someone who was at least responsive. Vijay promised to refund my deposit, but it took them a week to do so. In total, they had my deposit for three weeks. When I went in to ask them to process my paperwork for the refund, Bharat tried again to sell me a 4-wheel drive by saying he could get the car immediately. But that 4-wheel drive car was $1350 more than the one I wanted to buy. I finally bought my 2wd element at Academy Honda in Old Bridge. They had to trade to get it, but they were professional about it. As another sign of how awful Open Road Honda is, the 4-wheel drive at Academy Honda was almost $500 cheaper than the one at Open Road. The 2wd drive I bought was cheaper too. I also got a free wheel cover lock from Academy Honda. Bharat of Open Road wanted to sell me one for $106. To sum up, Open Road Honda was unprofessional, a rip-off, poor at communicating, slow to act and depending on your point of view, liars. AVOID. See my review of Academy Honda for a more positive experience. More

They were about an hour away, but I have heard th AVOID - AVOID - AVOID After calling around to some of the NJ dealerships, I called Open Road Honda. They were about an hour away, but I have heard their name and figured it'd have a good reputation. I told the saleswoman the best deal I was offered and I asked her if she could match or beat it. She handed me over to Hassan, whom I believe is a sales manager of some sort. He told me he will match the deal and I agreed. I drove down to the dealership and asked my fiance to meet me there since the car was going to be for her. She got to the dealership at 6:30pm and asked for Hassan. She told Hassan that I (her fiance) called and that we wanted the Accord Coupe. He said he'll have someone bring it around for us to look at. 20 min later, a salesguy approached my fiance and told her that the car was actually taken to get detailed and that it should be back in 20 minutes for us, but in the meantime, we should finalize the paperwork. She held off on doing so until I got there at 7pm. When I walked in, I told them that I will fill-out the paperwork when I see the car. They said it shouldn't be much longer. At 7:30pm, I asked why it was taking so long and they said that they were sorry and that it shouldn't be longer. An hour later (total of 1 1/2 hours later), the car was still "being detailed." At 8:45pm, I saw the salesman talking with the salesmanager and I knew something was wrong. I asked them what the problem was and they said there had been a mistake--the car I wanted (color preference-wise) was actually a demo-loaner car with 1300 miles on it, but that to close the deal, I should pick-out another color. The dealership was closing in 15 minutes. It is my belief that this was a bait-n-switch tactic to have me compromise what color I wanted. If I give them the benefit of the doubt, they dealership shouldn't have wasted my time and they should have made-sure the right care was available. This was another "bait-n-switch" tactic that a Honda dealer did to me so I am done with Honda cars (incl Accura). See my other complaint with MADISON HONDA---a dealership that is worse, in my opinion. More
