Personally, it was an unpleasant experience to try to compare a car with them and the seller never tried to find the best option for me, I had a pre-approval from my bank and I did not authorize them to compare a car with them and the seller never tried to find the best option for me, I had a pre-approval from my bank and I did not authorize them to run my credit and even without my authorization they ran it, when there was already decided to buy the vehicle they called me to say that the vehicle was going to the auction that I had to buy it immediately so that it would not be for the auction, I think it is unethical to try to pressure you in that way. I believe that if the vehicle is in negotiation with a client the correct thing is to wait for the process to finish. Unpleasant experience and I do not recommend that place to compare your vehicles More
Got an out the door price from John Eagle by email for a new car. Confirmed with a second email this is the OUT THE DOOR price, and they assured me it was. It was a competitive price, but not so low as to new car. Confirmed with a second email this is the OUT THE DOOR price, and they assured me it was. It was a competitive price, but not so low as to seem “too good to be true”. Since we live far away, I didn’t want to even bother visiting unless I felt reasonably confident we could make a deal. With two emails clearly stating their out the door price, we arranged a visit to see if we could finalize a deal. The salesman was quite friendly and the car we were interested in was waiting for us. This part of the experience was good. We drove the car and looked and a few other color options, and he was helpful. When it came time to talk about the price, imagine my surprise when it was about $6,000 more than quoted. Furthermore they cut the previously estimated trade in value down by almost half. All in all, it was an $11,000 swing. I showed the salesman the emails he had sent with the quote. He told me that he must have made a mistake. Willing to give the benefit of the doubt, I offered another higher price, which was countered...not with an out the door price but a payment plan option. Doing some quick math, it was clear that this was the highest price yet. At that point I gave up and went home. Upon reading reviews later at dealerrater.com, it appears this bait and switch “accidental mistake” tactic is very common at John Eagle Honda. I later described my frustration of this situation to a different dealer of a different make of car, located an hour’s drive away. I didn’t name names but without missing a beat he asked “Was that at John Eagle Honda?” Apparently their reputation is well known. He then explained that they had some former employees of John Eagle, and that John Eagle’s management actually trains their salespeople in these very tactics... “mistakes” and “math errors” to get you in the door. I will NEVER do business with these guys. I cannot believe I wasted my time there, and that their bait and switch sales tactics are so brazen. I almost never write reviews but just wanted to warn others. More

Someone should take a look at how many people they are allowing to wait inside the express service room. The X on the chairs yet y'all pack the room full of people. It's like a flipping virus hot spot! I allowing to wait inside the express service room. The X on the chairs yet y'all pack the room full of people. It's like a flipping virus hot spot! Service Technicians Lack of Knowledge on State Inspection Standards and Customer Service Skills We brought our car to this dealership for state inspection, they wouldn't do the inspection, stated that our Standards and Customer Service Skills We brought our car to this dealership for state inspection, they wouldn't do the inspection, stated that our front windshield's tint wasn't meeting the state's standard. Here is what I have found on TxDPS regarding sunscreen device, it was also confirmed by another dealership nearby. Ours is clearly above the AS-1 line, and their service technician (I believe his name is Mike Ma) still tried to argue with us and wouldn't even read what I was trying to show from my phone. Please train your service technicians with the updated State issued standards, better customer service skills and stop wasting customer's time. Window Tint Standards can be found in the Texas Administrative Code, Title 37, Part 1, Rule 21.3. (c) (2) Windshields. No after-market sunscreening devices shall be installed, affixed, or applied to a vehicle windshield below the AS-1 line, or five inches from the top of the windshield if the AS-1 line annotation is not present.
