If I could rate the John Eagle Dealership in Houston, Tx. a zero, it still wouldn’t be low enough. My daughter and I had been shopping around for awhile to purchase her her first car. I was browsing online a zero, it still wouldn’t be low enough. My daughter and I had been shopping around for awhile to purchase her her first car. I was browsing online and saw a great deal on a little red Ford Fiesta for sale at the John Eagle Ford Dealership in Houston, Tx. We live in Louisiana and are 4 hours away, which is quite the journey for a car, but I wasn’t having any luck in La so we decided to travel the 4 hours and go check it out. As a woman and a Mother, I am always pretty cautious when it comes to big purchases, because it’s very easy to be taken advantage of when you don’t know what to look for, or what to ask, especially when buying a used vehicle! This car buying experience was of no different… Once we arrived at the dealership, my daughter saw the car, loved it, then she got to drive it! I asked Mr. Luis about the car. I intentionally asked him about the Bluetooth capabilities because again, this car is for a teenager. He assured me saying that all 2013 and up models come standard with Bluetooth. Just to make sure, I looked on line after and it listed in their advertising that the car was equipped with a Bluetooth and standard am/fm stereo. Being able to drive and operate a vehicle hands free is a must for safe driving and minimizing distractions. This is just another added feature that I believe would help keep my daughter driving safe. During the negotiations on the price of the car, they charged me a $1595 “Recon Fee” (Reconditioning Fee), in addition to the cost of the car. I questioned that “Fee” and Mr. Luis stated “It is a fee charged to the customer, so the mechanics can get the car ready to be sold”. So in essence, I’m having to not only pay for the cost of the car, I’m having to pay a fee to the mechanics, to do what they are hired to do, and are already being paid to do it? I told Mr. Luis that I was uncomfortable paying that fee, and he said that he would go talk to “them” about it. When he returns, he tells me “They, will take off half but, they needed to pay their mechanics”. So they reduced the “Recon Fee” to $896 which is not half. At this point, I was pretty frustrated about the “Fee” but with my daughter so excited about her first car, I let that go. Finance guy did his thing. Mr. Luis came out and asked how far we were traveling, and then decided to fill up the tank. That was a nice gesture, but that might have been covered by the “Recon Fee”. Once we got back on the road heading back to Louisiana, my daughter noticed that the Bluetooth stereo wasn’t working. Right then I called Luis and told him that the stereo wasn’t working, and his reply was “Oh?”. I said , “I thought that’s what this reconditioning fee was for!” He says, “Well I will have to get with my Manager on Monday to see why it wasn’t checked.” I realize it’s just a radio, but the problem is that he knew about it not working. They all knew, and they (John Eagle) sold me the car “As Is” based on false advertisement. If he had just been honest and have told me this in the beginning, it may not have changed anything, but at least I would feel like I hadn’t been lied too, and what else are you covering up about this car? And honestly, it’s my fault for not checking it myself, but when you can’t even believe someone or take them for their word… If they will lie over a broken radio, where does it end and their honor and integrity kick in? Mr. Luis did call me back on Monday after I had to call him earlier that morning. He didn’t hesitate the Saturday he sold me the car to call nonstop to try to get this sale! Luis tells me that they can make an appointment to put the car on a diagnostic to see if it’s a blown fuse. That’s it! Luis said he understood me being upset and that he knows I’m not satisfied. I hope whoever reads this, that you understand my dissatisfaction (Like Luis does) with my buying experience from the John Eagle dealership. Buyer Beware!!! More
I really enjoyed dealing with Sergio in sales and Vinnie in finance. They provided a no hassle, no gimmicks, no nonsense experience that was truly worth the 100 miles I drove to get there. The car we got wa in finance. They provided a no hassle, no gimmicks, no nonsense experience that was truly worth the 100 miles I drove to get there. The car we got was priced reasonably, and the entire experience was well worth the trip. More

Saw a 2020 Pilot they listed on CarGurus. Asked a few questions for financing side of things as I've worked in dealerships before, and wanted a clear answer on everything I wanted to know. Ca Asked a few questions for financing side of things as I've worked in dealerships before, and wanted a clear answer on everything I wanted to know. Captain Luis "Obvious" Mariscal of the Internet Sales Manager, professionally told me "we don't expect you to buy the vehicle if you are not happy with the repayment package". I would have never even thought of that had he not said that to me! Gee, thanks for the info and steering me away from a bad deal Luis! More
I heard Nothing about a lot of extra charges on the day I purchased this car and no documents detailing the fees was sent to me until i requested it weeks later and requested the usb today. A used car of $ purchased this car and no documents detailing the fees was sent to me until i requested it weeks later and requested the usb today. A used car of $16789 ended up becoming more than $29000 due to hidden fees. The electronic signing process does not list out the itemized fees and no documents were sent to me. You only see the sale price on the iPad, but not the fees, so im made to think it was the TOTAL price agreed upon. More
I received a quote online from John Eagle Honda 10/30/2021. When I arrived at the dealership I test drove the vehicle. When the salesperson brought me the offer for my vehicle it was about 50% less 10/30/2021. When I arrived at the dealership I test drove the vehicle. When the salesperson brought me the offer for my vehicle it was about 50% less than the offer they emailed me a few hours before. I told her that was insulting and she went and go the used car manager. He said the "information for the quotes given online are not accurate and have not been updated in 6 months. If that does not make sense to a reasonable person it should not. He lied and even complimented the condition of my car. It just was a LIE LIE and a waste of time. Go to a dealership that does not operate like it is from 20 years ago and does not insult your intelligence with pitiful lies and tries to rob you. I would never buy from this dealership. It was not the salesperson fault it was their managment. More
