Had to drive over 50 miles to make payment because their finance co (CNAC) only does check/MO/cash payments... I cant wait til this thing is paid off so I can junk it! More
I wish ZERO stars was an option! Read the reviews below. Anyone who rated it 2 stars or more must work for the company because this is truly THE worst company in America. They scam yo Read the reviews below. Anyone who rated it 2 stars or more must work for the company because this is truly THE worst company in America. They scam you by telling you that you can put $300 down and drive today. They told us we had to put down at least $1000 to get a monthly payment of $280 and then they threw in a deferred downpayment of another $1000 to be paid over a 5 week period BEFORE my car payments are due. To top it off, theyre charging me 15K on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with 95K miles. This car is worth $4700 on NADA's website. They try to appeal to low credit, bad credit, no credit customers because they know that they don't have any other options. But as sure as the sun rises everyday, DO NOT BUY FROM JD BYRIDER because you will regret it AS you're signing the paperwork. More
Bush Whacking I was told over the phone that getting approved for financing would be easy because the program that JD Byrider uses is based on my financial history. I was told over the phone that getting approved for financing would be easy because the program that JD Byrider uses is based on my financial history. This is a lie but I will get to that in a minute. The first guy I talked to (David), was a nice young man and I really enjoyed his help. Then the skies turned black and the air stilled to a deathly silence when I was sent over to finance. I down know his name but he is the finance manager at the Boardman JD Byrider in Ohio. This man is not friendly or understanding at all. First, I sat down and asked, "What do we have here" in a friendly attempt to brake the ice. This man in an aggressive tone made me feel unwelcome by saying, "You came into my office, this is my domain." Why does someone fill the need to bully people. This man also felt the need to belittle me saying I have no credit. That's a lie, I have credit, it may not be a good score but what can you ask from a college student trying to better myself. He also accused me of being a criminal because the address on my driver's license didn't match my current address. I have been pulled over and the police officers never had a problem with my ID. Now, here is were they lied to me. I told the finance officer about my current financial situation and he didn't listen to me at all. I told him I could pay a $200 a month car payment. He made an outrageous type of budget by budgeting stuff I tell him I wasn't paying for on top of making a $380 a month car payment. This man also disrespected my mother who was also in the room. I understand he wanted to hear my talk but he didn't have to speak to my mother that way. I couldn't believe I was treated with such disrespected and basically thrown out of an office like that. I felt like I was physically assaulted by this man. By the way the man I am talking about is older, has white hair, and a raspy windy voice. I will never go back to JD Byrider ever again unless I am given a full written apology from this man and written agreement to a new finance deal that actual fits my budget. I'm not asking for a free reliable car, I'm asking to be financed, so I can make the payments I can afford on a reliable car. More

When I asked them how much a vehicle was they said that they needed to get my personal information and see what kind of credit I had first. I told them I'd like to see if I was interested in a vehicle before I gave out my personal information. They said that they wanted to be sure they weren't WASTING THEIR TIME talking to me. They needed to know that I could afford a vehicle before they would even so much as tell me the price or how many miles were on any vehicle. I guess because I don't dress fancy or because the car I was currently driving wasn't very nice they assumed I was poor and couldn't afford a vehicle and without proof they were not WASTING their time on me. I had currently been in an accident where my car was totaled. The other driver at fault. So, the car I was driving had been given to me until I got the mess sorted out and got a new vehicle. So, no it wasn't nice, I was just lucky to have a vehicle. I had finally been issued payment from my insurance company for my loss and had cash to buy a nice vehicle - their loss. But it felt really crappy to be treated that way. More
Do Not Go I purchased my vehicle in 08/2014. since then I have been having problems with the vehicle. It is now 4/2014 and my car is not working. About a month I purchased my vehicle in 08/2014. since then I have been having problems with the vehicle. It is now 4/2014 and my car is not working. About a month ago I called my rep in reference to my payment. My job mailed my check and it didn't get to me at all. I immediately called to explain the situation and was told that there is nothing that can be done. I have to pay the payment. I was then not asked, but told, to borrow the money from somewhere because the have a no being late rule. They were very very rude, yes I have read many reviews before posting, but now I feel better that I am not the only person who are having problems. I understand that for most you have had a great experience and that is fine. Those of us who have not need to take a stand and fight against this company. I would hate to not care and allow many more people be con into the purchase of a vehicle. I understand that it is only our ultimate decision to purchase a vehicle, but I was purchasing for I THOUGHT all good reasons. I thought that I had a company that understands my financial status and are willing to give me another chance. I did not need a car from them I had a car that was awarded to me via Vehicle For Change. The Rep persuaded me so much on how purchasing through them would be of a great benefit. I was very convinced. I completed the paperwork and was told that I can not purchase because it was not affordable with the job I was working. I said OK and then proceeded to leave. she then stopped me and said that they could work with me. they changed some numbers around and wow! I was approved. The vehicles I really wanted I couldn't get. However, I settled for trading my vehicle and getting a 03 Taurus. I am now regretting every moment of that day that I thought I was making a very good decision. I have not been able to receive help from them since I have purchased the vehicle. My check was out of my control and I had to borrow money from people to pay the payment because I was threatened to have my car repo. I didn't no what to do so I borrowed money. That then put me in a bind, for which I already have to use my checks to pay them for the vehicle, but now I had to work extra to pay back the people I have borrowed money from. Ontop of the fact that I now owe another payment out of my next paycheck. Once again I am in debt. I asked and begged if I could have my job call and explain the problem, they could send a letter. etc I tried and the answer still was NO. I talked to many reps that talked to me as if I was a child. I couldn't maintain my feelings and anger. So I took the conversation to an elevated level. I pray that no one has to deal with what I have been dealing with since Aug. I have always been the person to pay bills on time and if for any reason I can't I immediately call whomever I owe the money to. This company follows a great philosophy when it come to getting their money and having us sign to that type of agreement. However, life mistakes always happen and it doesn't matter how good your job might be and how long you have worked with the company. The do not work with you, if or when that job is taken away, They want their money and that is that. They have no concern or sympathy for real life issues and unforeseen emergencies that you might encounter within the week of or before payment is due. This is absolutely not how other financing companies handle their business and JD or CNAC will not be around for long. TIME TO FIGHT BACK.... There is no reason why I put my vehicle in for maintenance 2 weeks ago and sat in there for more then 3 hours and 2 weeks later my car wont start. I am P---ssed. I am without a vehicle on my children's Spring Break. That was the whole purpose of me trying to get the vehicle fixed before their break. Now I have to wait until Monday for them to even service it, HUGE INCONVENIENCE. Then to top it off, I get paid every week, so now I am missing 3 days of work for a car that I assumed was all the way fixed and my payment is due for a car that I can't rely on to get me to work. I called them to tell them that their is no way that I can pay my payment, I am out from work and those three days is killing my check for my car payment. I talked to the CNAC branch manager, all he could tell me is that my Rep is on Vaca and I have to wait until Monday when she gets back and talk with her. The story of my life. I am SCREWED. If I wanted to walk, catch the bus or even ask for rides and it was that easy, I Wouldn't have purchased a vehicle. Obviously I need my car. If this was any other dealer with a warranty the would have been on it, as well as, I would have either already have paid my payment or still would've had 30 days to pay and not just 1 Week. I have so many feeling and thoughts I would be typing for hours. Thanks for those who read this and allowed me to vent. May this problem be fixed very soon. More

They make it seem like their mission is simply to help. Believe me, it is the complete opposite. I purchased a car from them and from the day after getting it, it was nothing but problems. A total nightmare! If I had to choose between getting another car from them or walk everywhere I had to go, I would happily choose walking." If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is" . That should be their slogan. Stay away from this place- they will suck you dry! More
F#$%!g Terrible I got a 04 Marquise from there and totaled it almost 5 months ago instead of putting it down as totaled they have me as nonpayment. Not to mention nob I got a 04 Marquise from there and totaled it almost 5 months ago instead of putting it down as totaled they have me as nonpayment. Not to mention nobody has once contacted me about anything.I was told 13000 for the car and found out later that they had me sign to pay 20000. Kelly blue book has this car as worth 6000. All they want to do was push me though the system so that they could sell a car. It took over 30 mins to talk to Juelette Marmo and then I felt rushed and felt like I was being talked into signing for a car they could sell a car. It took over 30 mins to talk to Juelette Marmo and then I felt rushed and felt like I was being talked into signing for a car before I even looked. Then came the kicker to me they wanted 12 references right then, not allowing me to talk to my friends to see if it was ok for me to use them (because that is the polite thing to do). I asked if I could take it home and get the names and talk to my friends and she told me that the Bank needed them right now. I then told her NO... and walked out. I will not deal with crap service and this is what it was... just like she compared their car lot to McDonalds I too shall... This place wants you in and out so that they can take your money for an over priced car just like McDonalds want you in and out with a meal that is all screw up... You'll go back and back to get it fixed but it'll never be right. More

loan preditors. They use vehicles as a intimidating second chance excuse. While the vehicles are over priced (2 times (KBB) market value. A 6,000 vehicle with a 1 ,500 down payment. 400 a month car pay second chance excuse. While the vehicles are over priced (2 times (KBB) market value. A 6,000 vehicle with a 1 ,500 down payment. 400 a month car payments. They call and harass customers using scare tactics. I would not recommend these people at all. They are rude and just care about the bottom line. No compassion what so ever. More
