My wife and I received a "Discount Mailer" (-$5900)for previous car buyers at Honda Village. While we were not interested in buying a new vehicle, the offer for a $5900. reduction on a new Honda was too g previous car buyers at Honda Village. While we were not interested in buying a new vehicle, the offer for a $5900. reduction on a new Honda was too good not to at least explore. Our research gave us the information to negotiate a fair deal if the deal was as good as it appeared. We had an '04 Honda pilot to trade. The initial offer from Honda Village was considerably off the mark so we were ready to depart. At that time I shared the mailer with Chris Wilcox, our salesperson. He immediately brought the letter to the attention of the sales manager and after a lengthy negotiation Honda Village game very close to the deal we wanted and we accepted the offer. Needless to say, car dealers are always looking to make the greatest profit for their company. We know that. It is just unfortunate that you can't go into a dealer and get the best fair deal the first time around. The next time I purchase a car, I think I'll use one of the websites that gives dealers a chance to bid for my business. It is important for us to add that Chris Wilcox was professional and patient through the entire process. He was responsive to our queries and sensitive to our needs. That part of the our interaction with Honda village was excellent. We wanted a color not in their stock and he was able to find it for us delivering the car as promised. When we had issues he responded rapidly collecting information and getting answers. More
I had a great experience here. Everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to help me get the best car and deal for me. My only complaint is that it was sometimes hard to get a call back from the pe and went out of their way to help me get the best car and deal for me. I went to Honda Village in Newton expecting to look around and perhaps return if any deals looked promising. After one or two minutes at the front desk, we were assigned a salesperson. Yuliya Ilyuchyk around and perhaps return if any deals looked promising. After one or two minutes at the front desk, we were assigned a salesperson. Yuliya Ilyuchyk was an incredibe salesperson in all respects. She showed us all of our options and did not hide anything. She did not press for the most expensive vehicle but rather the one she thought would be most appropriate for me, and her suggestions were insightful and revealed thorough knowledge of Honda automobiles. I got an incredible deal on a Honda Civic and have had absolutely no regrets about the purchase to this day. 10/10 for this dealership. More
Chris was very professional. My wife and I found him to be very engaging and made us feel both comfortable and informed throughout the course of our decision-making process. His genuine and honest demeanor be very engaging and made us feel both comfortable and informed throughout the course of our decision-making process. His genuine and honest demeanor seperates him from other car salesmen that we have encountered. We established a good relationship with Chris and intend to use him again for future purchases. We would hope that Chris's honesty and integrity are a reflection of all customer service members within Honda Village. More

I just purchased my fourth car from Honda Village, this time it was the 2009 Accord EX-L. My wife and I visited the dealership on a Saturday and the show room was packed. We were warmly greeted by the rec time it was the 2009 Accord EX-L. My wife and I visited the dealership on a Saturday and the show room was packed. We were warmly greeted by the receptionist and immediately turned over to a sales specialist, Yuliya Ilyuchyk, with no wait despite the crowd. Yuliya took the time to understand what we were looking for without any sale pressure at all. Instead, she went out of her way to show us model after model, in various colors and configurations, including two test drives. She was able to answer most of our questions about the models, and when she wasn't sure, she didn't guess. Instead, she told us she was not sure but found the answer out for us shortly thereafter. It was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I've ever had. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, only the desire to make sure all of our questions were answered and that we saw all the models we wanted. Speaking of models, Honda Village had an amazing selection of Accords and Civics. WE could see and test drive every configuration and color we could think of. When it cam time to talk price, the sales team was able to match the price I offered, to me surprise. They even gave me a great deal on my trade in (which I bought form Honda Village 10 years previously). Today, I picked up my new Accord and traded in my old one. Yuliya transferred the plates and got the car inspected while I watch the news on the big screen TV in their clean and spacious waiting room. I highly recommend Honda Village and I have purchased a 1999 Accord, 2000 Civic, 2004 Odyssey and now a 2009 Accord from them. Be sure to ask for Yuliya if you want a pleasant car buying experience. Bob will give you accurate information about any product. He is patient and honest. The dealership does want to make money of course, but Bob is also are careful not to pressure you into the wrong product; He is patient and honest. The dealership does want to make money of course, but Bob is also are careful not to pressure you into the wrong product; he evaluates your needs and preferences. You don't get a gimmicky feel. I would say the price I got was fair but not lower than average for the car I purchased. I wasn't in a position to do a lot of comparison shopping because I needed a car in short order and had a specific color preference. I went with this dealership because I didn't feel pressured and that was worth a lot to me. Bob continued to be helpful even after the sale was completed. I want to add that one time I wanted to do repeat test drives on a day that Bob was out of the office. He was willing to come in anyway, but I told him it would be okay with me for someone else to show me the cars I wanted to see, so he arranged for Yuliya to help me with test drives. She was also extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. She should be a keeper at Honda Village. Joe in finance was very patient and helpful in calming my nerves about the purchase and explaining things. My only regret is purchasing as many extras as I did in the way of protection products. Whether they are worth it to you comes down to individual preference, but the good news is, it looks as though most, if not all, of the service agreements can be cancelled within a certain time period if you haven't used them and change your mind. If you are thinking of a car purchase, I would suggest reading about the various protection plans ahead of time so you are prepared to make a decision. More
The bottom line is that this dealership blatantly lied to me about the terms of my car loan. I would never do business with such underhanded people again. When I was filling out my loan paperwork, the fin me about the terms of my car loan. I would never do business with such underhanded people again. When I was filling out my loan paperwork, the finance person put on the hard sell for the extras like the extended warranty, gap insurance, tire protection, etc. I told him that I had no interest in any of those products despite all the horrifying scenarios he concocted as examples. (For the gap insurance: What would I do if I drove the car off the lot today and someone plowed into me?) When it was clear I couldn't be frightened into buy these extras he switched tactics. He offered me two interest rates. Of course I wanted the lower one. He said in order to qualify for that rate I needed to purchase the extended warranty and the gap insurance (lie #1). And that the my payment at the higher rate would be the same as the payment at the lower rate plus the two add ons (lie #2). I point blank said, "I want the lower rate without the two add ons." And he replied, "the bank won't let me do that." Well if the monthly payment was going to be the same, why not take the extras? I filled out the paperwork and drove the car home. I'm a very detailed-oriented person so when I got home, I read the contract thoroughly and discovered that you are able to cancel both the extended warranty and gap insurance. That was a red flag. I double-checked the monthly payments with an online calculator and discovered that that payment with the higher interest rate was actually less. Then I called the bank that had my loan and asked if what I was told was true (that I needed to buy the extras to get the lower rate.) They said absolutely not. I was furious. I went back to the dealership the next day. The person who processed my loan wasn't working so I spoke to his boss. The best excuse his boss could come up with was that this person was recently promoted to finance officer and they DON'T TRAIN their finance officers so this person accidently told me incorrect information. He agreed to refund the full amount of the gap insurance and extended warranty however it took 3 months for them to process the refund check. There are other details to this story like as to why I didn't get a loan from someone other than the dealer but this review is already long enough and in the interest of getting the most crucial part of the story across I've decided to omit them. I just want people to be aware that this dealership is not afraid to lie about legally binding contracts and even when they are caught in the act, refuse to admit responsibility. They have lost out on my business for servicing my current car as well as future car purchases all because they tried to sneak an extra $1,200 onto the car sale. More
