I went here because i called and was told that they had a model that my local dealership did not have. My local honda dealer gave me the price for the car unsolicited - i did not haggle. I did not want to waste their or my time with test rides or any other BS. I wanted to be in and out. I expressed my desire to the salesman within 5 minutes of my arrival and that I wanted to buy the car cash. He left me for the "Managers office" and returned 20 minutes later with a loan plan for the sticker price on the car. I said we are wasting each others time and bid him good day. He said wait, that the other dealers price was "very aggressive" and if I gave him $100 to go in with he would see what he could do. He came back another 20 minutes later and said he would sell the car for $175 more than the other dealer. I said OK. I said I would give him $3000 (not a personal check) and would bring him the balence within a day. They sent over another manager who wanted the entire payment on the spot - or else no deal. I was dressed in work clothes and I work on construction sites. I felt they sized me up based on my dress and did not trust I could pay for the car. I said if he could not wait a day for the balence I was leaving. I asked for my $100 and they said i would have to see "the manager". He said i thought we had a deal blah blah and i expained what had happened and he said fine he would take the $3000 with the balence due in 48 hours. I returned the next day to pay the balence and found they had "by accident" sold the car to someone else. They said they had another similar car. We looked at it and I said fine. I then waited and waited for over an hour and a half while the paperwork was "processed". The longer I waited the more I thought about them selling that car out from under me based on maybe my appearance??. By now I had spent close to 4 hours for what should have taken 1/2 hr. The longer I waited the more angry i got. I expressed my thought to the salesman and told him that if he did not have me out of there in 5 minutes i was leaving. I made good on that and of course had trouble getting my deposit back. But I did get it back and left. Any other honda product i have bought had been a smooth and swift process. these guys are full of themselves and they are game players. I hate the car buying process...with a passion. Bob McGrath has shown me that not all car salesmen are slime and that it is okay to give them the benefit of the doubt from time to time. Bob was immediately very friendly when we walked into the dealership, he asked me, and wrote down, the 3 most important things I wanted in a vehicle. He held firm to those 3 things and was very cognizant of my budgetary concerns and the things inside a car that are important. Throughout the entire process Bob was straighforward, honest, entertaining and interested. The whole process was very easy and almost too good to be true. Despite issues with financing that prevented me from buying the car yesterday, I will, without a doubt, recommend Bob McGrath to friends looking to buy cars and will go back to him in the future for my own. More

I just came back from purchasing a car from Bob. I left there a very satisfied customer. Honda village exceeded my expectations. Car shopping isn't fun...I completely hate it...and Bob knew that. I drove my friend to Honda Village this morning after she learned her old Saturn would require expensive repairs and the mechanic recommended that she junk it. I told Bob she was interested in a low mileage Honda Civic....the very first car he showed us is the one she ended up buying. By 4:30 we were completing the paper work to purchase the car when she realized she had no checks left in her check book. We were both tired and hungry, after multiple trips to the garage, the bank, and the dealership. I was prepared to drive her back to her house to get her check book, and then back to the dealer (where we knew we would have to wait in line with the after work crowd to finish the paper work.) Bob volunteered to actually drive back with us to her house to pick up the check so we could close the deal today without another trip to the dealer. It was just too good to be true! I never thought we could accomplish all this in one day. We got a wonderful deal, and he treated us with respect. We never felt pressured. The whole process was stress free. Thank you Bob! More

I stopped by Honda Village to look at used Accords because I didn't think I could afford a new model. There was one problem: Within the first few days, I noticed a "creak" coming from the sun roof. I called the service department and they actually came to my place of employment and picked up the car for service. I work in Natick, Honda Village is in Newton. I didn't expect that service. Tony, the service manager, called me later in the day and said that lubricating the sun roof did not take care of the problem like he thought it would and they needed to keep the car for a couple days to repair it correctly. He politely asked when would be a convenient time to schedule the work. Again, he offered to pick up and deliver my car to me while at work. I would give both my sales and service experience at Honda Village 5 stars. More
