Thanksgiving special Boston Globe ad showed a $2500 single pay 24 month lease for a Honda Civic LX... Great deal, and I expected ~$1000 in taxes, title, doc fees, and acquisition fees, but called to co single pay 24 month lease for a Honda Civic LX... Great deal, and I expected ~$1000 in taxes, title, doc fees, and acquisition fees, but called to confirm and was told by Vera that the only fees were doc fees of $329 and title/registration fees of $125 (so the total would be under $3000). The newspaper ad did mention tax and acquisition fees as well (which Vera conveniently left off), but imagine my surprise when, after a test drive (with another sales rep as Vera was busy when I got there) and listening to ~1 hour of drivel about the car (which I already knew better than my salesperson), dealership and services, I am presented with the total of $4700! I asked where that came from and they broke it down to acquisition fee (~$600), destination fee ($795) + tax ... seems they were not only ripping me off by adding a destination fee (which obviously one pays when *buying* a car but I've never seen before on a lease deal and certainly it should have been pointed out in the fine print *and* over the phone when I called). Needless to say, I didn't buy the car and was quite annoyed at wasting 2 hours of my time driving in and going through the test drive/... hassle. More
Manny Zabatta was the best car salesman I had ever dealt with. His first contact was via telephone, and just from the phone I got a sense of honesty and integrity. He took the time to find out what I wanted, and only after hearing my entire story, he then suggested a course of action. His suggestion to lease was better than a purchase, and I agreed. He then told me he would look at the inventory and then make a time for us to meet. He was extremely diligent in calling me back, and updating me if his schedule changed. I had to change my schedule as he did too, but he always kept me inform. In fact, he changed his vacation one day later so that he could personally meet with me. I knew before I came to the dealership that I was going to buy the car from his as long as the price was acceptable. I finally got to the dealer on Thursday, Sept 9th around 6pm, and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist, Adam Bohn. He was very welcoming and friendly. Then I finally met Manny, and was very pleased and happy to meet him. He was very easy going, honest, and knew the line very well. We went for a test drive, I filled out the paperwork, and 2 hours later I had leased a car. Edwin Cifuentes, was the business manager, and he was very pleasant and worked hard to get my credit approved. Overall, this was an excellent experience. Manny, continued his concern, and called me a couple days after I got the car, to find out if I was satisfied. I told him that I was. More
Keva Williams & Edwin Cifuentes were both great to work with this past week. They both made leasing a new vehicle a pleasant experience. Keva was very personable as was Edwin. Although the experience with the other dealership was not unpleasant, we felt we were not getting the service or price that we were looking for. At Honda Village Ted knew we had already had an opportunity to look at and testdrive the Civic LX elsewhere but he still took the time to review every feature with us, making us feel like we really knew the car that we were buying. (The salesman at the other dealership failed to review most features on the car.) Ted made us very comfortable and made sure to up front with all details in the paperwork. Edwin was very pleasant and walked us through the financing. He took the time to review the various options we had for financing, thoroughly explaining anything that was confusing. The entire experience was very pleasant, and I left the dealer confident in my purchase and pleased that it had gone so smoothly. More
I looked at this website to see how the dealers were rated and read the comments of previous customers. At Honda Village, it appeared that Bob Mc Grath was a good person with whom to work and I was not rated and read the comments of previous customers. At Honda Village, it appeared that Bob Mc Grath was a good person with whom to work and I was not disappointed. As a widow, I have always found buying a car to be a challenging exercise since I do it by myself--i.e. no husband to go with me. Bob was excellent. He listened to me and asked me the right questions. And, he gave me a thorough education about the Honda Fit so I would know every inch of it and feel comfortable with the car. Bob was fair and honest and was able to go to bat for me on the price. I was very pleased with his caring and professional manner. I drove my new car away today feeling confident that I made an excellent choice. As an example of Bob's willingness to go the extra mile to provide great service,as I was departing, he tucked a number of his business cards which have his cell phone in my car manual and said--"before you spend more than a few seconds understanding anything in this manual, call me on my cell anytime and I will be happy to explain it". In addition, Ivo Petrov, the business manager, was very helpful arranging the financing of the car. And, finally, everyone that I met at the dealership--from the Service area to the person who put the mats in my car--seemed to be happy doing their work. I left knowing I had made the right decision and I know I will be very pleased with Fit. I believe I have purchased a well made, fairly priced car that will have great mileage and low maintenance. Not only did I want a good car ,but also, I wanted to know there was a strong dealership standing behind the car. I felt extremely comfortable with the whole staff and I will definitely use this dealership for service as well. Since I was downsizing from a much fancier car, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience . More
I was looking to get a minivan so after test driving a 2011 Toyota Sienna, I decided that I would go for a 2010 Honda Odyssey since the 2011 model was coming out in a couple of months and I figured I coul 2011 Toyota Sienna, I decided that I would go for a 2010 Honda Odyssey since the 2011 model was coming out in a couple of months and I figured I could get a good deal on a 2010 model. I wanted the EX-L model since we have a 3 year old and my wife wanted leather seats in case of liquid spills (the bonus being it comes with heated front seats, moonroof, back-up camera in the mirror). I got several competitive quotes online so I figured I could do better in person. Honda Village came back to me with an out-the-door price that was not the lowest but with willingness to negotiate so I decided to visit and go for a test drive. Bob greeted us and he was very nice from the beginning and I could tell he was a good salesman. After several hours (checking out the vehicle, going for a test drive, negotiating including trade-in) we settled on a final price which I was comfortable with - I think I could have got the deal for $500+ less but it was a great deal overall with an out-the-door price for almost $1,000 less than a dealer 30 minutes away on a silver EX-L (with alloy wheels, edge protectors thrown in). Bob was great throughout and even though he did pull a couple of classic sales techniques on me, he navigated through the negotiation masterfully and made me feel like I got a great deal, which does count for something. Overall, a positive experience and I'm looking forward to years of driving pleasure and servicing from Honda Village! More
I have had a couple of experiences with car dealerships over the past ten years and neither of them were something I would want to go through again. Well, Bob McGrath at Honda Village made the car buying over the past ten years and neither of them were something I would want to go through again. Well, Bob McGrath at Honda Village made the car buying experience painless and even fun. Bob showed us exactly what we were looking for, a 2010 Honda Accord LX, and knew everything about the car. I have owned two accords and know them well, but Bob showed all of the newer features on the car which were a significant improvement over the previous two I had owned. We spent several hours at the dealership, but it went by quickly because Bob took care of us every step of the way. On the tail end, Edwin got the financing done extremely quickly and we walked out feeling completely satisfied and excited about our purchase. I would highly recommend Honda Village and especially Bob McGrath. More
I had been searching for a pre-owned Honda Accord Coupe for a couple months and visited a few different dealerships (that I wasn't all the impressed with) and Honda Village exceeded all my expecations! I w for a couple months and visited a few different dealerships (that I wasn't all the impressed with) and Honda Village exceeded all my expecations! I wasn't planning on buying a brand new car, but Honda Village was able to work with me to fit my budget. Chris Wilcox, the sales rep that I dealt with, was great! He really knows his stuff and listened to my wants and needs and got me into the perfect car! I will definitely recommend both Chris and Honda Village to any friends or family that are looking to purchase a Honda. Thanks to Chris and Honda Village for all your help. My new Accord is amazing!! I have to say I have always been negatively biased toward car dealers, since my past experience I have often dealt with very pushy sellers who play all sort of games to get you to buy the most expensive car. car dealers, since my past experience I have often dealt with very pushy sellers who play all sort of games to get you to buy the most expensive car. Hence, I was very pleasantly surprised during my recent experience at Honda Village, where NONE OF THIS happened. I went in a couple of weeks ago, sat down with Ivo Petrov – the business manager – and we started to look at options. He took all the time in the world to explore various possibilities with me and, a little more than two hours later, I ended up leasing a Honda CRV. The great thing is that he made the whole experience wonderful: he is very competent, understood very well my needs, presented me with various alternatives, clearly spelling out the numbers for me, and never once he pressured me to sign a contract or to add a more expensive feature to the car I ended up getting. His other colleagues who helped me out (to look at various options in the lot and to test drive the CRV) were also very pleasant to work with. Delightful. The car drives great and I know for a fact that I will be back at Honda Village for my next car, and I will highly recommend it to my friends! More
Peter was a very helpful with the selection of a vehicle for our family. He made sure that we could afford it, and really tried to get the best monthly payment option for us.
