Overall this was a very good purchase and the dealership has Keva Williams to thank. Keva is the sales associate that I worked with in purchasing my car. In terms of customer services Keva was A+. She was e has Keva Williams to thank. Keva is the sales associate that I worked with in purchasing my car. In terms of customer services Keva was A+. She was extremely friendly, very straightforward, and genuinely interested in how I felt. There were some minor issues that arose along the way (none of which may I say were the result of Keva's lack of effort). However she was able to demonstrate to me her ability at handling sticky situations as they happened. Unlike other dealers that I have dealt with, she made an effort to contact me throughout the process, even providing me with her cell phone number in case I had any questions during off hours!! The price of the vehicle was very reasonable. The main reason I was drawn to Honda Village in the first place was the price of the used vehicle I was looking at. As soon as I sat down with Keva, I knew she was not going to drag me around. She was down to earth and did not put me on the defensive like others dealers can do. She didn't try selling me stuff I didn't need and she has even been involved even after the car was purchased. As I rated above, the price of the deal was great, the quality of the work/car was average, but the customer service of Keva and the rest of the sales team is what will make me come back again next time I need a new car. We stopped by Honda Village about 2 hours prior to closing. I made a call that day mentioning that we plan on visiting to look at a Honda Pilot. We began our discussion with James (Sales Manager) and closing. I made a call that day mentioning that we plan on visiting to look at a Honda Pilot. We began our discussion with James (Sales Manager) and Svet (Salesman). They were terrific to work with and very patient. We did not have to fill out all kinds of paperwork prior to test driving the car. We had a limited amount of time and they got right to the point with the deal. As a result, we ended up talking with them for about 2.5 hours and decided that this was the right dealership, right car and especially right people to do business with. Their expertise, knowledge and integrity convinced us that we made the right choice. We have bought other automobiles from this family of dealerships and been more than satisfied in the past. I strongly recommend purchasing a car at Honda Village and working with Svet and James in this process. Also, our children had a great time playing basketball at the dealership so that we could complete the transaction - picking up the care last night. More
We had a great experience with Honda Village of Newton. As soon as we entered the showroom, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Keva was extremely informative and personable and did not once pressure As soon as we entered the showroom, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Keva was extremely informative and personable and did not once pressure us into a sale. We felt very comfortable with her and impressed by all the information she had to offer to us regarding the car we were looking for. We were never pressured once by anyone to buy the car and were only given information/options. Once we decided to purchase the car, the process was smooth and efficient. The dealership is open on Sunday until 5:00 and they were there to accomodate us the whole time. We were able to pick up our car the next evening. The entire process at Honda Village was hassle-free and unlike any other experience I have had when car shopping. Keva and Edwin were wonderful to work with and made the process enjoyable and relaxed. We absolutely love our new CR-V! More
Excellent customer service. I met Keva almost immediately (within about two minutes of walking in the door) and described what I wanted. Within twenty minutes I was inspecting two used autos tha immediately (within about two minutes of walking in the door) and described what I wanted. Within twenty minutes I was inspecting two used autos that closely fitted my wishes - manual transmission, low mileage, correct model and color. I was never left unattended for another customer, which has happened at other dealerships, and received all information I requested immediately or within minutes (if another person had to be contacted). There was no pressure to close a deal, and Keva was exceptionally and appropriately friendly. That applies to all the other staff I dealt with also. I was left with the impression that people enjoy working there. Price was significantly below what I had expected to pay, but my situation did not provide a lot of incentive to haggle, and that is the only reason I gave the price a "4" rather than a "5." I might have been able to squeeze another $200 to $400 (2%) out of the deal, but I always expect to "leave some money on the table." Although the auto was properly cleaned and prepped prior to inspection, the work done after I had purchased the auto was very well done, including making a small scratch I had noticed almost disappear. On a final note, some of the documents accompanying (e.g., the manual) the car showed some water damage. Although nothing could be done about some of the small documents on a three-year-old auto, I noticed that when I picked the auto up, someone had taken the trouble to replace the manual with a pristine version. (I had not asked for that, but appreciated the thought.) All in all, a very good to excellent experience dealing with the folks at Honda village. More
I recently purchased a 2011 Honda CRV/EX at the Honda Village in Newton Corner, MA. I am extremely pleased with my selection and I credit my satisfaction with the positive experience I had when I went to Village in Newton Corner, MA. I am extremely pleased with my selection and I credit my satisfaction with the positive experience I had when I went to visit this dealership. The showroom is meticulous, well lit and the self-serve popcorn machine is a plus. From the moment I met salesperson Keva Williams, I felt comfortable with her because she listened to me and helped direct me to the vehicle that met all of my specifications. During the negotiation portion of the sale, Keva gave me time to discuss things with my family. She exhibited unlimited patience, respected my opinions and never rushed me. I also appreciate how she went to bat for me and was able to get me the car below my asking price. Once the asking price was accepted, I met with Edwin Cifuentes, the business manager. Edwin was friendly and helped me to understand the financial aspect of my purchase. Overall, I had a great experience at Honda Village and would highly recommend both Keva Williams and Edwin Cifuentes because they are great to work with. Sincerely, Mary F. Edouard More
Dave was an easy going laid back salesman. Showed the car I was interested in and didn't put any pressure on about my offer. He also took care of a few minor but important little things I was interested in. I was interested in and didn't put any pressure on about my offer. He also took care of a few minor but important little things I was interested in. Good guy to deal with. The sales manager really bothered me as he tried to squueze evry cent out of me. He wouldn't accept the word NO!! I guess this was his job and eventually he accepted my offer which was probably too high but in the ballpark. By the way, the "document fees" dealers charge are one of the great rip-offs and should be called "add to profit" fee. More
We never owned a car before and first wanted to get a used car from a private party. After a few frustrating weeks (deals falling through at the last minute, missing paperwork, etc.) we decided to get a used car from a private party. After a few frustrating weeks (deals falling through at the last minute, missing paperwork, etc.) we decided to get a new car and submitted an online request to several dealerships in Boston. Honda Village got back to us immediately and offered a reasonable quote. We enjoyed the no-hassle experience and how professional and friendly our sales rep, Chris Buras, was. We'd definitely recommend working with Chris to others. More
After a poor experience at four dealerships, we tried Honda Village as a last effort before calling it a night. We contacted them by phone and spoke to Ricardo who told us that while he did not have the Honda Village as a last effort before calling it a night. We contacted them by phone and spoke to Ricardo who told us that while he did not have the model in stock, he could get it for us without an additional charge, something the other dealerships would not do. We went in prepared to open negotiation at 3% below dealer invoice. Ricardo's offer while 1% more than we had hoped to pay, was still significantly lower than the previous dealerships had offered. Furthermore, he appraised our trade-in at a higher rate than anticipated, knocking the price even lower. We agreed to the price, and set out for the paperwork. We knew to expect $125 for title and registration, and $29 for the inspection sticker, but we balked at the $300 doc fee (the destination fee was already incorporated into the negotiated price). After some strategic negotiations, we settled for a $100 equivalent doc fee leaving us to haggle over $200 which morphed into +$100 on our trade in and three free oil changes in addition to the one we would receive anyway. We had to return a few days later for the F&I work, which completed with a minimum of difficulty (The Finance Rep's name escapes me, but he was very fair and did not try to push anything on us that we did not want). The vehicle arrived on a Friday, and as we were paying by check we would not be able to register the car until the following Monday, which was an issue for us. Ricardo was able to get the car pre-registered, and on Saturday we picked up the vehicle. Low pressure, easy negotiations, friendly staff, and I actually enjoyed the haggling process. This was definitely not the car dealership you hear about on the news. I'm looking forward to doing future business with Honda Village! More
