First off I wanted to say that Barry was very helpful and a great person to work with. I wish things had worked out because he was the kind of person I wanted to do business with. Things did not work out and I ended up getting a car elsewhere, but I felt very comfortable with him as a salesman. More
We had the transmission go out on our 2002 Odyssey -- it only has 74,000 miles on it!!! Anyway, we took it in to Honda Village Service who diagnosed the problem along with other issues we were aware of (brakes, etc.) Due to the high cost of replacing the transmission, they recommended we call America Honda (AH) to see if AH would cover any of it. Amazingly, AH will cover part of the cost of the transmission, but the overall cost of the repairs would still be a substantial. Tony took the time to explain what our options were, all the while quoting us the best price on the repairs needed and telling us what repairs we can wait on. He was extremely patient as my spouse and I went back and forth on the pros/cons of fixing the car versus getting another one, making sure we knew that we didn't have to rush into making a decision. We haven't come across this level of service and professionalism in quite some time. Dealers often get a bad rap and many complain about the inflated service costs, but we truly believe that Tony and Honda Village are one of the "good guys" out there. They will be starting work on our Odyssey next week when the parts come in, so I can't rate the 'Quality of Work' just yet. But if it is anything like their 'Customer Service,' 'Friendliness,' and 'Price,' I think they'll be getting another "5." I'll update the post, if the website lets me. Stay tuned... More
I have been working with Honda Village for several leases over the years and I always find them to be wonderful people. They are friendly, concerned and they have great customer service. What I liked most over the years and I always find them to be wonderful people. They are friendly, concerned and they have great customer service. What I liked most were the genuine smiles that I received from everyone I made eye contact with. Edwin Cifuentes made the process seemless and really seemed to care if I purchased my current lease or leased something new. He went through all of my questions and made me feel at ease with my decision. I also loved working with Svet Tachev because he was pleasant and thorough and funny! Honda Village is a great place to buy or lease a car and I would recommend them to all of my friends. In fact, my mother has bought her vehicle through them, as well. Keep up the good work, Honda Village!! Lee Sullivan More
I come from a family of mechanics (unfortunately I was not blessed with that gift) and do not have family close by, so I chose Honda Village as they are a Honda dealership that knows HONDA cars. I unders not blessed with that gift) and do not have family close by, so I chose Honda Village as they are a Honda dealership that knows HONDA cars. I understand that accidents can happen, however failing to properly put brakes back on so that the caliper falls off and GRINDS into the rim is rather frightening. I do not want to think of what could've happened to my pregnant wife had this not fallen off so close to home on a very slow road with limited traffic. I will give them credit for fixing this quickly and giving us a new rim as the old one was ground down. This should have made them more cautious. In hopes of having faith restored and that this was a "one time thing" we went back. Again, thinking this was a one time thing. The next time we had an issue they left a pool of oil on the seat. Yes, a pool. It ruined personal items and required professional cleaning. We have tried working with them, however have not heard back from them for two months. We are now taking our car next door to Clay Nissan. They have been nothing but great to us, explaining everything, walking through everything, and they do not leave oil on seats (still not sure how someone would put oil in the interior of the car--pretty sure it goes somewhere in the engine?). Scheduled an appointment for battery test due to less than 3 year old battery not holding charge and kept on draining. Not only did I received an outstanding service from David but also saved Honda village another customer from going somewhere because of his kind understanding of the situation and a great customer skills. After paying over $100. for this it would have been nice if the inside of my car had been vaccuumed. Vaccuuming is standard service at a Jiffy Lube or Tech Lube station, so it would have been nice to receive this courtesy from you, as well. Just a suggestion. More
Honda Village was one of the dealerships that I visited on a hunt for a compact, reliable first car - the Fit was actually an afterthought on my original list, but after being offered a test drive of the b on a hunt for a compact, reliable first car - the Fit was actually an afterthought on my original list, but after being offered a test drive of the base model, I found I liked it a lot more than I have originally imagined. I went back a couple of times with my wife, and Tom our salesman was happy to answer our questions, and never pressed us further than I would have expected into a sale. When we decided to buy, I had read online about the various tricks and tactics that sales and finance people would use and how to deal with them, but I hardly had to use any of that information at all in the end - we got a good price after a short negotiation, and both stages of the process were very pleasant. After a wait for the registry information, we drove off with it that day. After the sale, there were a couple of issues - as it was the end of the day, the inspection hadn't been done, and due to a miscommunication I wasn't given an inspection sticker when I brought the car back in the next Monday to have Bluetooth fitted. When I realized this, I phoned Tom back and he made room for them to get the sticker organized immediately - on going out to the car to drive it to the dealership, I found that I had finally been ticketed for not having it displayed. I showed that to the dealership, and they immediately took responsibility for it and said they would pay the city directly. They've been very good to me as a first-time buyer and I'm looking forward to dealing with them in the future. More
I went to Honda Village on 4/16 to lease a new Accord and trade in my old accord. The sales person (Georgi) was great and everything worked great. The agreed to give $9300 for my old car and at that time I t trade in my old accord. The sales person (Georgi) was great and everything worked great. The agreed to give $9300 for my old car and at that time I thought it was a fair price. I signed some paper work and paid a $450 deposit. When I went home and looked at the KBB price of my car it was $12000 (for Trade in, Good condition. Even a fair conditioned car was priced at $10550). The next day I went there to ask more money for my trade. The refused to offer me more money; at this point I told them that I would sell the car on my own and agreed to pay the difference in the trade value of the car. The guy simply refused the offer stating that I had to sell my car at the price the had quoted. I refused to do so and asked them to cancel the deal and refund my deposit. The agreement that I signed clearly states that I have the right to cancel the deal. I was asked to call the next day to get my money back. When I called on Monday I was told that my car has already been offered to someone else, hence the deal cannot be canceled. How can they do that? They had not even run my credit check yet! The guy at the desk rudely said either adhere to the deal or loose your deposit. He told use "sue us and get you deposit back". More
