First I drove out of my way to go to your dealership to meet with Eric Flores after a less than pleasant experience at Orlando West Kia. When we called Kia, we called to ask about the 5000 trade in offer meet with Eric Flores after a less than pleasant experience at Orlando West Kia. When we called Kia, we called to ask about the 5000 trade in offer your operator said that they “add the money in the deal even if your car is worth more they always give you the $5000”. We were still confused at that statement, but we stayed on the line. She then called Eric to call me so that I can talk to him about a purchase. He immediately wanted me to come in. Eric called me and sent me a very nice email to have certain information ready like my paystub, references, ect. I was prepared to buy a car with a down payment. He told me to ask for him as sales people would be out to greet me and I would be dealing directly with him. He also said that he cuts out the middle man meaning that I would not deal with any sales managers on your floor. Your dealership was less than busy when I walked in. It turns out that he came out to greet me and just pawned me off to a sales rep as the middle man. I told them when I started that I was not interested in games. I asked the sales rep to tell me what cars that he had has the best incentives. He began to tell me that he needed to know what my situation was as he wanted to get me out of my situation. I told him that I was not in any situation, but was interested in purchasing a vehicle. He basically told me that he would need my information first to ask a sales manager if he can proceed to try to sell me a car. I find this completely ridiculous. He basically needed to ask permission to sell me a car or talk about cars. I have referred many a people to Orlando Kia, but I can tell you that this will never happen again. I had a less then pleasant experience at your Orlando West Kia as well so I went to Chrysler. They are more than happy to take the time with me and earn my business. I was leaning towards a Chrysler 300, but my wife wanted me to give Kia another chance as she was interested in the Sorrento and Optima Hybrid. I did ended up giving your dealership another chance only to find that you baited me yet again with false information and less and less professionalism. You don’t know my finances or what I can buy. I can tell you that my wife and I will be buying two cars this year and they will not be Kias. I purchased one of the first new 2011 Kia Sorento’s made in the USA and up to know, I was pretty happy. Thank you for the horrible experience in both of your dealerships. Sincerely, Alberto Dominguez More
My experience with Orlando Kia East started out well enough I guess. I went in on a Friday evening looking to test drive only, wasn’t prepared to buy anything but you know how dealers are. I did go ho enough I guess. I went in on a Friday evening looking to test drive only, wasn’t prepared to buy anything but you know how dealers are. I did go home with a new Kia, it wasn't exactly what I wanted but I did agree to buy it and drove off with so I understand I'm stuck with it at this point. I wanted 2WD Sorento w/a 3rd row seat, I got an AWD w/no 3rd Row - they had a vehicle they wanted to get off their lot, they don't listen to what customers say, they will give you what they want you to have - of course you don't have to take it but they wore me down. I'm a single woman, I came in at 7pm after work with my 3 yr old. I told the sales people I wanted to test drive a car, wasn't ready to buy yet and I had a couple of other cars I was looking at, Kia was my 1st stop. They kept running back & forth with different offers, I finally agreed to purchase when they said they could get me the car at 3.9% interest, payment of $340.10 a month - $9,000 for my trade and a $500 gas card. I finally finished up about 10pm drove off with the car and was told to return Saturday to have it detailed. When I got there for the detail the finance mgr called me in and said I signed one of the documents in the wrong spot and he needed me to sign again in the right place. In good faith I signed and didn't look over the document with a magnifying glass. If I did I would have noticed that they were sneaking in a few changes in the finance terms. My bad, I know - of course you can't assume people have integrity or honest dealing when it involves them making money. I went on my way with the car after having it detailed. Kia touts a 22/32 mpg – I didn’t find that to be the case. I had the car for a week and had filled it up 4 times. Did not get my gas card btw. I did drive to south Florida over the holiday weekend – I averaged 19 mpg on the highway. I called my sales guy Ramon (Ray) Martinez on a Monday, told him I wasn’t in love with the Kia & I didn’t want AWD b/c I wanted the maximum gas mileage. I asked if he’d check on the possibility of letting me trade it in for a 2WD w/a 3rd row -- which is want I wanted all along. He said he would but never got back with me. The next day (Tuesday) I went into the dealership, Ray had conveniently went home early. I spoke with the “sales manager” forgot his name & he’s not listed on this site. Explained my concerns he went away for a second, came back and said he could let me trade & sent a guy named Mike to “appraise” my trade and look for car on the lot that had what I was looking for. Mike was out for about 30 minutes then came back with a new deal for me -- $418 a month for the car I wanted. I said my deal now is $350 a month; I’m only swapping options AWD for a 3rd row why is there such a big difference in payment. I assumed there’d be a cost to trade but the car I had was worth more than the one I wanted. They were gonna give me $22,000 for my trade (which was the balance on the loan) not what it was worth. I asked to see a copy of my loan docs as I had not been provided a copy as of yet, this is when I saw the terms of the loan were not as I remembered them to be. Small changes 4.9% interest up from 3.9%, payment $351 up from $340, $8000 for my trade, down from $9000. Not huge differences but dishonest anyway way it goes. I would have been an OK customer up until this point, I’m irate now. I told them to change the terms back to what I’d agreed to originally, the GM Luis was on the phone when I left on Tuesday. I said I’d be back on Thursday to sign the corrected documents but when I got there, more games. Docs were not ready for my signature and were not corrected once the “finance mgr” printed them out – so I was there again for another hour arguing with these scammers. Finally they got the docs corrected I signed and they were to be sending the docs out overnight for my co-buyer’s signature. Needless to say, they didn’t send them out and I’m sure when the bank sends me the payment coupons it will be at the $351 4.9% interest rate. Long story short they bs’ed me & wasted my time instead of being upfront, It would have been easy enough to say -- hey we tried to get you the deal we presented but the bank wouldn’t go for it – do you want to continue under these new terms, more than likely I would have. The issue was the sales manager named Sekula please be careful with this sneaky manager. So after I got the car they called me back the next day and told me my financing didnt go though, I understand things happen for a reason maybe it wasnt time to get a new car. The issue was when they where giving my car that I traded in and the way he told me about me getting denied, First he said I should pay my bills WOW really ok whatever just give me my car, guess what they cant find my keys, then guess what something was broking in my car that wasnt before also it have more miles than what I traded it in with and a lot more then you having to drive it across the street to park it know Im really upset excuse after excuse so I let him know that now I was getting frustrated and he truely came out and told me that he knows the feeling cause now I was frustration him. I was dumb founded did you really just tell me that WOW. I started to head out and my sales person was apologizing all the way to the car I told him I dont hold it against him he told me he knew what I was going though cause he has to deal with him everyday I told him I felt sorry for him and if he felt that abused he should report to the labor law courts. Like I said before everything was great till I met that manager, I would by a car from my salesman any day but if I walk in and that manager still there Im gone sorry, and please dont hold my sales person responsible for that dumb @55. he did everything he could to keep me happy wont say his name cause dont want him fired. Great job!!! I hope this doesnt happen to others. More

Just wanted to give two thumbs up to both Raymond Martinez and Jean Paul Formby. I had an overall satisfying experience when buying my new Kia Rio at Orlando Kia East. Both Ray and Jean Paul where ve Martinez and Jean Paul Formby. I had an overall satisfying experience when buying my new Kia Rio at Orlando Kia East. Both Ray and Jean Paul where very on top of things when I inquired about purchasing a new fuel efficeint car. After serveral emails and phone calls I went over to take a look a a vehicle that fit all of my requirements. Eventhough I did not purchase that car I ended up with a much nicer car that had just become avilable. Overall I was pleased with the whole experience. Ray even called to tell me that I had left my sons sleeping bag in my trade in...he put it away for me until I was able to pick it up the following day. Thanks guys!!!! More
