I was given the wrong floor mats for my Honda Fit Sport 2008, purchased August 3. Considering the fact that sliding floor mats can jam the brake and cause accidents, the dealership's installation of the in 2008, purchased August 3. Considering the fact that sliding floor mats can jam the brake and cause accidents, the dealership's installation of the incorrect mats that cannot be secured on the hooks is not a simple oversight. The sales person forgot to charge me for the incorrect mats, and called me on August 10th asking for additional 150 dollars without acknowledging the error and its resulting risk. As the mats were not correct ones for my model, I suggested that I would mail them back to him. I was told that he would have to check with the "Technical Department" whether this return would be accepted. After waiting three days to hear back from him to no avail, I sent the mats back to him by UPS on August 13. The carpet for the area where the driver's left foot rests is detached from the base structure of the car, and the material beneath it is not only exposed but also cracked and deteriorated. In addition to the discomfort, because the detached floor carpet is very close to the brake, it may impair the proper operation of the brake. This is below par for a Honda Certified used car. On August 12, I sent a detailed email accompanied by photographs illustrating the issues at hand to the sales person, General Manager, and Used Car Sales Manager, but, as of August 14, none of them has yet responded to me. This is my first negative experience with Friendly Honda but it is enough to take the time to steer others away from this location. Kingston Honda has been great. My repairs at Friendly were incomplete, diagnosis misleading and invoice dishonest. Attempts to resolve the issue were ignored and followup visits ineffective. Friendly Honda has no problem taking your money. In my opinion they do not stand behind their work and have little regard for customer satisfaction. Their "President's Award" level of service was not apparent to me. More
