Salesmen here are liars the service center just as bad Be very careful make sure you ask for a copy of the carfax report before purchasing a car the salesmen will lie to you about the condition and history Be very careful make sure you ask for a copy of the carfax report before purchasing a car the salesmen will lie to you about the condition and history of the car. I was taken advantage of after being at the dealership for literally 8 hours to essentially find out a few months later I bought a piece of junk. I purchased a used Optima still under 60k I was told that it was still under the original warranty and that it was still in great condition and had not been involved in any accidents or anything. My first mistake was not asking for an official car facts report and trusting my seemingly friendly salesman. After just a few days of driving it I started having minor issues with tail lights and I had it replaced no big deal right? So after a few short months I started noticing alot of other issues, engine lights, air conditioning making weird noises then not blowing out cold air, tail light went out 2 more times, started to notice the clear paint was chipping, had to get brakes and rotors replaced. Finally after being fed up with all the issues I take my car to another dealer to get it apprised to be used as a trade in. There is where the nightmare really began i find out the car is only really worth half of what they sold it to me for that it had actually been involved in about 5 car accidents and that there were quite a few other issues with the car as a result of all of the car crashes. Which is also where I realized the paint chipping that I noticed was from a bad paint job cover up from the accidents. I understand that the salesman can't control the things that happened to the car before I purchased it but they can control the lies I would have never purchased a car if I had known it had been involved in so many car accidents especially not for the price. I recently purchased a car from Feldman Kia, and while initially it was a good experience, it soured so quickly that it felt like a downright bait and switch. I would also like to preface this long-winded review with a disclaimer that despite the numerous issues, I was prepared to give a more favorable review. I've tried multiple times over the past months to fix what should be a non-issue before bringing it out in a public space like this, but it seems that the dealership is unwilling to fix even the most minor issues despite their promises, and couldn't possibly care less about you as a customer the moment you agree to purchase the vehicle. The initial purchase process was very good quite frankly, which unfortunately made the rest of the experience just feel that much worse. We went through the typical negotiation process, and even though the vehicle was new, they couldn't find the second key. "No worries" they said, they likely just misplaced it and would have it for me by the next morning when I'd pick up the car, so it wasn't added to the "Items Owed" sheet, and I thought nothing of it. This became the primary issue, but wouldn't surface until after the vehicle purchase. Immediately after signing the purchase agreement, the experience quickly turned into misery as we were forced to wait around for nearly 2 hours (now almost 10PM by the time we finally got to begin the finance arrangements), and we're both shuffled in to a room with two members of the finance team. This isn't my first vehicle purchase, and when I saw the typical "addons" sheet so many dealers push, I politely tried to decline in advance, wanting to save us both some time given how late it was as I did not want anything additional added on. Thus began an almost hour long session of the finance manager belittling me through each "add-on", while I continue politely declining, despite my rapidly dwindling patience, and insist that we move on as it's now nearing 11PM, and I've been at the dealership since 6PM. Additionally, the finance manager had kindly praised my excellent credit, especially for my age. This quickly turned to a backhanded comment when we finally received the finance paperwork, and received a much higher rate than originally promised. When I protested, he then told me it was because of my credit, to which I asked what he could possibly mean given his earlier praise. In an almost mocking tone, he told me that it could be better (despite my score being over 740, which is considered super-prime). If it wasn't for the rarity of the vehicle in the area, my fiancee's love for it, and the sunk cost of having spent almost 6 hours at the dealership, I was frankly ready to walk out right there. After that was finally all said and done, we left without the vehicle as they were going to clean it, find the second key, and that I could come in at 8:30 when they opened and pick up the car. The next day I come in around 9am, and I'm told the car still isn't ready. I then sat around for over an hour and a half before finally getting the car, still without the second key, which I'm now told they will have to order and I will have to come back. Finally, almost 2 months after purchasing the vehicle, 3-4 calls and a visit to the dealer, they are effectively ignoring me on the issue. I realize this might feel awfully petty over a key, but given the rest of my experience it just feels like the straw that broke the camel's back. I realize that I'm a younger buyer, and because of that might make some dumb decisions, but I shouldn't feel that the poor decision I made was with my choice of dealer and that I'm being taken advantage of. I've been fortunate enough to have gone through a few different vehicle purchases, but none have ever been this much of a hassle over such basic issues, with no willingness from the dealer to actually correct it, but at the very least I can hopefully try to prevent people from making the same mistakes I have. I never received it. I called Dave and asked again about a warranty and he again told me he would send it out. I never received it. I called a third time and was told he would call me back as he was with a customer. Never called. Two days later the engine started overheating. Took it to a shop and was told there was a crack in the block. Now I have to pay $3k to repair a vehicle I bought 6 weeks prior because the salesman couldn't be bothered to sell me something I wanted. All of this after the sales manager went on and on about the quality of their vehicles because if they didn't have good word of mouth they wouldn't have business. Their lack of communication makes me believe they knew about the engine issue prior to selling the vehicle. My daughter bought a brand new 2020 Kia Soul the day after I bought the Jeep. She has a question about her warranty and they will not respond to any of her calls either. More
Excellent post-sale service experience after buying my Kia! I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews about this dealership. Maybe the Chevy and Kia sides are really different? Or maybe the bad reviews have been posted by competing dealers?? I have nothing but good things to say about the way that the service and dealership staff has taken care of me and my Kia Stinger since I bought the car at Feldman of Novi in March 2019. In particular, Jean and Keith in the service area really go out of their way to dig into the details and provide the best customer service possible! I have met a couple of their service techs too, who also go out of their way to provide great customer service. I had a Mercedes-Benz before I bought this Kia. The professionalism, attention to detail and personal attention that I have experienced so far in my service encounters with Feldman Kia in Novi is head and shoulders above what I experienced at two different area Mercedes-Benz dealers during the time that I had the Mercedes. The personal responsibility they take for fixing the car right the first time makes all the difference. Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt! More

Now, in September my brand new car is turning off and won’t come back on, or just won’t start at all. It happens every day and it’s so scary when you have 2 kids in the car! The Salas manager Keith won’t return my call. I called every day for a week asking to speak to him and leaving messages. Phone call never returned. I spoke to a woman who said she was also a salas manager and she basically insinuated it was my fault the car was doing that. I’m driving 4O minutes to the Auburn Hills Kia to have my car fixed instead. I will never go back to Novi!!! More
