Used car buying experience Purchased a 2012 Jetta Sportwagen I found on Carfax website. Had a good sales experience with Jackie Gonzalez. After we finally agreed on a price, the Purchased a 2012 Jetta Sportwagen I found on Carfax website. Had a good sales experience with Jackie Gonzalez. After we finally agreed on a price, the financing portion took longer than it should have and we had to go between three dealerships (VW, Alpha Romeo and Mazda) to get it done, but the car was delivered to us in primo condition. I would purchase here again. More

Not impressed. Autobarn of Evanston performed an ok and filter change which then resulted in rough running, knocked the timing off, and created unsafe running conditions. I was in a bind with a leased car that wasn’t up till March next year and needed a bigger car for our growing family of five. With a baby due any day now I couldn’t wait till March. Working with Ricky and Narcis was a pleasant experience. Not only did they help get me out of the lease early without it costing me but they helped me get the exact Atlas that I wanted from another dealer and customized it to get the black wheels I desired. They made the entire process easy and their professionalism was appreciated. More

Service Cost Sticker Shock I brought my 2013 low mileage Jetta sedan in for a normal service and was quoted a reasonable price of approximately $500.00 and a service time of 1.5 I brought my 2013 low mileage Jetta sedan in for a normal service and was quoted a reasonable price of approximately $500.00 and a service time of 1.5 hours on Thursday Oct. 31. Because I was told it was a routine service, I expected to have my car back no later than 12 noon. I got a ride home which I appreciated and then waited. The service person was more like a salesman, giving me a lot of talk about my car, what it needed and though we both acknowledged I don’t drive that much it only has 37K miles. Anyway, when I picked up my car I got a bill for $1114.00 which was absolutely exorbitant, unexpected and I told the service person that I will never bring my car back to this VW dealer. More
