Today I was at Capital ford for 2 hours and left when we were off by a few dollars a month on a new 2011 vehicle that was still on the lot. A few hours later I get a call from my sales person saying, "Great news if you come back here we can make the deal happen with the terms we talked about earlier." So I drive back to the dealer to sit and wait for another hour and half before getting back to finance. Once I got back to Finance dept I noticed they added 1 more year to the length of the financing which was not what we talked about earlier. There was never a mention of this and I think just expected me to sign it. I told the finance guy this isn't what the sales person told me on the phone, and they just wasted my time. The Finance guy didn't have an answer for me and was not helpful in getting the situation resolved. I said they were unprofessional and this was terrible customer service. The sales person told a lie to get me back in the store and just waste my time. They just said sorry and couldn't do anything else for me. So I left and will be sure to tell everyone I know about my experience with capital ford. If they wish to make it right and agree to the terms they called me back saying we had, I will update this post. Otherwise do not waste your time with this dealer and be sure to pay close attention so they don't try to pull a fast one on you.. I am sure Cross Roads Ford down the street will be happy to get my business. More

I have never rated a dealer. But, my experience was so horrible at Capital Ford - I went LOOKING to write a review. I arrived last night at 8pm to test drive a vehicle I called to see if they had. When I got there, the sales guy (who I had called ahead of time) told me they took the car to the high school for test drives? So, this morning, I receive a courtesy call asking about my experience. I tell her what happened and she apologizes and reschedules me to come in today to test drive the same car. I get there (2 hours after it was suppose to arrive) and I walk in and ask for my saleperson. I waited about 5 minutes and then went browsing on the lot. For 20 minutes - not ONE person approached me. I went back inside and told the girl who is the most redneck receiptionist I've ever met - where is the salesperson because I'm about to leave. She immediately got someone else who was super nice (Jason) - but I was too pissed at this point- I had already made up my mind I was not purchasing from Capital. These salesmen were outside in groups of 4 and 5 men - shooting the breeze - smoking - enjoying themselves without a care in the world. I was looking for a car and got smart enough to get back in my car and drive back to Wake Forest to another dealership where my experience was a 180 degree difference. You guys need to fire the girl up front (who was yelling at someone on the phone so loud, I just stared at her in disbelief) and tell the sales guys to start being more interested in the people coming through the door then their next cigarrette! More
I came into the dealership today as a repeat customer of Bubba Liles and was greated friendly by everyone I came into contact with. Bubba was knowledgeable about the Ford Focus that I purchased today and was friendly and curtious to me and showed me all about the car so that I would know where all buttons were located and explained what each manual was for, etc. My overall experience today was very satisfied. In June we purchased our 4th vehicle from Capital Ford. Yesterday, we went with our daughter to assist her with a purchase. Doug was so helpful and nice. We originally went with a used Focus in mind, but Doug suggested a new Focus because the deals on the new cars were better and in the end she would have paid about the same. His commission on the used sale would have probably been more but that wasn't his main concern, she was! Being a recent college grad, she had lots of questions and Chuck in the finance department never wavered from having patience with her. Skeet, one of the sales managers even took the time to come out and speak with us. He was also very accommodating with an issue on our purchase in June. Two of the center caps on our wheels were faded and he made sure they got new ones in for us. His main goal was that we were satisfied! I can't leave out Mark Thomas, he makes you feel right at home! Our local dealerships can't hold a candle to Capital Ford. They are professional and friendly. We have never felt we were being pressured into anything we weren't comfortable with. It is worth the hour drive to get this special treatment! Why would you go anywhere else??? In closing, I have to ask...why don't you have Excellent as a choice? That is what Capital Ford deserves! More

I had a horrible buying experience with Capital Ford in November of 2011. I found a vehicle there I was interested in but wanted leather. I told them one afternoon that I would do the leather. The next day I realized the model I was looking at really didn't have a lot of the upgraded features (like auto headlights) that I really wanted. Called back and they had already started putting leather in the original car I had selected but I had changed my mind. I wanted to do the right thing and give them my business, especially since I had changed my mind. I selected another used model from them that had the upgraded features I wanted. The inside was not cleaned up and had some scratches in the plastic, which I was told could be fixed. I have to admit I was not the smartest at buying used cars as I should have taken the car to another shop to get checked out before buying and I didn't. I won't make that mistake again. I also made the mistake of picking up the car at night (it was winter so I got it after work and should have gotten it on a Saturday so I could see how dinged up the inside still looked after "clean up"). They said when I got it at delivery that the scratches couldn't be fixed. How funny because 2 days before they said it could no problem. When I went in to sign the papers for the vehicle I said it's the same price, right. Because the vehicle I chose the 2nd time was 1,000 more than the other vehicle and the leather I had put on the other vehicle was 1,000 so I thought the price would be the same. The sales person said yes, it's the same. Go to sign the papers, manager says oh no can't be the same price. I pointed out that the price of the 2nd one was the same as the first after I added the leather. Manager tried to state that the price I saw was an online price and he had nothing to do with that. Ugh, I should have just walked away then. Once I got on the road going 65mph I noticed a high pitched squeak and rattle. I had test driven the car and didn't notice it then. Well when I noticed it on my way home I thought, oh yeah, the first thing the sales person did when he got in the car was turn the radio up and a little on the loud side. Now I know why. I called back about the squeak and rattle and long story short there were several different days they would come pick up my car from work, have it all day (they did give me a spare car) and tell me it was all fixed. I would drive it home and still hear the rattle. Finally after like the 3rd time of having it all day, the squeak and rattle finally stopped, though the ride was not a smooth one. When it was time for the car's first oil change, I opted to take it to a local garage and they pointed out 1,000 worth of repairs that needed to be done, one being rear shocks. Well no wonder it was shaking and rattling before. And they apparently did some bandaid work because it still rattles sometimes. I decided to give their service dept a chance a few months later and get quotes on replacing the fuel filter and rear shocks. Their prices were a little cheaper than the other garage and since I thought it would be best to have it done with official Ford parts, I started to set up an appt to bring it in. Then the service technician tells me there is a $95 diagnostic charge. I asked why, I already had it diagnosed and these are the problems and i want to pay to get it fixed. He was like even though it was diagnosed somewhere else, we still have to diagnose it in case what we do to it doesn't fix the problem. I was like thanks but no thanks. The other garage did a diagnoses for free and so Capital Ford lost not only $400 in service for just this one time, but my business forever. More
