They are both professional, friendly and were helpful in answering all our questions. The whole process went smoothly. We bought a new RAV4, and traded in a car. Thanks Larry for starting with us, and Frank for taking over. You are both a pleasure to work with. More

Utterly chaotic, smarmy dealership. Don't use!!! This dealership is terrible. Avoid it!!! First, the salesman dragged out everything way, way, way too long. We felt like hostages at times. The salesm This dealership is terrible. Avoid it!!! First, the salesman dragged out everything way, way, way too long. We felt like hostages at times. The salesman also grabbed my cell phone, wouldn't give it back till he posted something on my Facebk page so as to drum up more buyers for him--while I protested I didn't want him doing that. In addition, a manager came out and insisted we give the salesman good ratings or he wouldn't get his bonus. HOW UNETHICAL. Well, here's your review, Dorschel! Remember this, too, as you read other reviews: Any good reviews are suspect when a dealer pressures people to give only great ones. After we thought we were done negotiating and signed on to buy, the salesman then pressured us to add PermaPlate undercoating and other up-sold warranties and add-ons "We'd be sorry if we didn't." "All my other customers bought this." "You don't want it? Really? I'm surprised." "No, we can't remove those expensive floor mats from the deal. Toyota won't allow it." Blah, blah, blah. We bought a PermaPlate pckg just to get out of there, BUT the PermaPlate undercoating is now dripping off in dark globs of terrible gunk. Is Toyota such a bad product that everyone who buys it needs thousands of dollars of "protection?" We had to go back AGAIN to try to haggle about the undercoat fiasco. The Dorschel solution is to WASH off the gunky molasses but leave that which is hardened as is. What? In the first place, they had no idea why this was happening or even whether it actually was undercoating dripping from the car (plus all over our garage). (If the car hadn't been garaged on a light colored floor, would I ever have noticed? Thank heavens for the garage.) And no one at Dorschel can guarantee they won't make a worse mess or ruin the paint in the wash process or ruin the strut boots and other under parts or cause water to seep in between the panels as the globs fall off and take seam sealer with them, thus causing internal rust in the future. THIS IS A NEW CAR, FOLKS! Furthermore, three times we ended up with a set of keys that weren't ours, forcing us to return to Dorschel an hour and a half away round trip. The salesman and a manager (some big guyish, middle manager) promised they did not have our keys. So when I finally held onto THEIR keys, they suddenly found OURS. No apologies, nothing, just some surliness from a gruff manager as if it was our fault. ("How did you get home if we had your keys," he harrumphed. "Um, I always carry two sets.") We also recently discovered we did not get some of the paper work on our new car, such as the tire warranty. Are we gonna have to pull teeth again? Return yet again just to get this warranty book? We also have manuals for a hybrid; ours is not a hybrid. Chaos! Worse, the undercarriage of our new car is still a horrible, horrible mess. I am very reluctant to let them do their half-a-wash thing. If they can't apply a product correctly, how can they be trusted to remove it correctly? They said they'd give the $ back for the undercoating, but we'd still have a mess underneath, half of it on & half off. Nitemare on a new car! Sounds like the title to a horror movie. It is a horror. We have engaged an attorney to deal with this mess of a mess. Finally, for all the hours on various days--many, many--we spent there, I had time to witness some smarmy tactics, too, such as the double-teaming of an older minority woman wanting a car. She didn't even get to sit at a salesman's desk like other people did. I also witnessed a salesman playing such manipulative games about financing with some man that the distressed man suddenly jumped up, paced and paced, wrung his hands, grabbed his forehead, and fretted due to his despair "We are only $15 more a month.than your bank." "I don't know if I can reach your bank." More blah, blah, blah from a salesman. Apparently, this buyer already had a loan promised from his bank, but the salesman wasn't liking that idea. For many people, $15 a month over 5 (or more years) adds up to too much money. Businesses shouldn't treat people like this; don't let any dealer treat you like this. In fairness, when I finally got to see an upper level manager (good luck trying to do that),--an operations manager-- he was a fairly decent guy. He offered an extended warranty, but, guess what, the warranty doesn't extend coverage of corrosion problems which might be caused by their glob removal. Then, when I tried explaining the minority woman's plight, what I got was a marketing spiel about how long Dorschel had been in business and how many cars they sell. NO. STOP. LISTEN. And then assure me you'll look into this kind of customer maltreatment. Utter chaos, lots of inconvenience, high pressure to buy unwanted products or take out Dorschel car loans, too much wasted time at this place, bad application of expensive materials, mistreating people, especially those who are most vulnerable in our society, and more. Shame on Dorschel. Mr. Dorschel, do you have any idea how badly the people in your dealership are ruining your name? Our happy ending is this. We actually were hunting for TWO new cars. Dorschel lost the 2nd sale. We bought a 2nd new car at a different dealership with a gracious, well-informed sales person, only a bit of pressure to buy add-ons, good price, fair trade-in, ready in a few days, and so far no problems with the car. In fact, we love it, and it IS a hybrid. And guess what! At this other dealership, we saw a man walking around, collecting keys, and making sure they were returned to their rightful place. GO ANYWHERE BUT DORSCHEL!!! Your shoes are your best friends, and your psyche and your wallet will thank you. More
Deceptive misleading !! Purchased a new Avalon with express info I wanted the car to travel in. I wanted a more comfortable car with navigation. After having the car 3 weeks Purchased a new Avalon with express info I wanted the car to travel in. I wanted a more comfortable car with navigation. After having the car 3 weeks I could not get the navigation to work. I was told, bring the car in and we will show you how to use the navigation. Come to find out, the car ( 40,700 cost) has no navigation. The sales manager argued with me for an hour telling me it does have navigation. finally he admitted the car has no Navigation capability, and offered to buy me a windshield mounted navigation. I said that is unacceptable for a 40K car. they washed their hands. refused to provide me what they told me I was getting. Toyota customer service was no better. after this deal, I will never buy at Dorschel, and make sure anyone I know does not either! In fact I will no longer buy a Toyota or a Lexus! I currently have 5 Toyota and Lexus models 2 being brand new Avalon's in the last 3.5 yrs, over 70K spent in 3.5 yrs on their product to be lied to and misled, and then they refuse to fix it! Who else was told they have gps to only find out after the purchase that you have no GPS Toyota agreed to stop doing this in arbitration in 2013, yet still doing it.. and the dealership is their representative.. so cant blame it on design flaw, Dorschel knows its a problem and continue to be complacent with deceiving customers! I was made very clearly aware by the sales manager James Cain and also by the staff that assisted telling me it doesn't have GPS that they are aware of this problem, and its a huge problem... but still leading their custom to believe there car has gps when they buy it.
