I recently brought in my 2015 Q5 diesel for its 35K service and some recall work. I hadn't done any research beforehand, so when I was quoted $1,200 for the service I figured it was probably 25% over-priced, but I'd pay that for the convenience of the loaner car, etc. He also offered a $1,250 package to cover all scheduled maintenance for the next two years, which was an obvious choice for the extra $50. After I got home I did some research and discovered that the 35K service should cost more like $350 from an independent service center, and the Audi MSRP on the two-year service plan is $869. I should have recognized that the service price was likely negotiable, but I really don't want to deal with the displeasure of haggling. Nor do I want to be fleeced, which I feel is what took place here. More
