Service department at Audi, Palo Alto location has gotten worse and worse. I’ve been taking my A7 to this place since 2014. I dropped off my car after an overheating incident during one of the hot weekends a worse and worse. I’ve been taking my A7 to this place since 2014. I dropped off my car after an overheating incident during one of the hot weekends and Quan was my service advisor. He tried to overcharge me by quoting $2480 to replace a thermostat intermittently getting stuck and I told him this was ridiculous price. Then he texted me back the next day saying given my long service history at the place, he could offer me 50% discount. Think about it for a moment on how much he tried to overcharge me the first time around. Now the pricing is more in line but still high. I questioned him whether they properly topped the coolant during the previous maintenance service. During our interactions, he was rude, defensive and never addressed me with my name. Even then I agreed to do the fix - so I could drive my car again. I left the dealership telling myself it’s probably time to say goodbye to this place because I’m losing my trust in their business practices and customer care. I had a really scary safety incident a couple years back. A day after I took the car back from service at Audi Palo Alto, I stopped by a gas station and tried to fill up. While I was pumping gas, at one point all the gasoline started pouring out from underneath the vehicle!! They obviously forgot to seal something up during the service. Thank God I wasn’t a smoker and no one smoking around me at the time. I raised the issue with the management but seemed to go nowhere. This place obviously does not take safety issue seriously. Just don’t take your car there for the service! More
FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY SAKE, DO NOT bring your car to Audi Palo Alto! They will tamper with your vehicle so you would need to bring it back! So dishonest and most importantly I couldn’t entrust my safety wi Palo Alto! They will tamper with your vehicle so you would need to bring it back! So dishonest and most importantly I couldn’t entrust my safety with this place anymore. I got my last straw drawn with Audi Palo Alto after going there for services for the past 6 years. June 16-19 visit would be my last time taking my car there. This is the review for a follow-up service visit after another 1-star review I just submitted. To recap briefly on the background as written in the previous review, I avoided getting overcharged by 100% for a thermostat replacement. I was offered 50% discount of $1220 to get the repair work done. Below is the original text. “Good morning, our factory states that we are able to assist with 50% of the repairs due to your service history with us and also because you are purchasing an Audi Care maintenance plan. If you decide to proceed with the thermostat, your portion of the repairs will be $1220.00 plus tax. Text STOP to opt-out. --Quan Huynh Audi Palo Alto” Then a week later, my car check engine light came on. Coincidence? - I’m thinking. I took the car back to have it checked out again. This time it was Benny Gomez who was my service advisor. A couple days later he called me back saying there’s some sensor that needs replacement. Estimated cost would be $1201. Another coincidence? The last time I was offered discount of nearly the same amount. So they know what will bring you back in... Then things got worse. I lost my trust with them and went with my hunch to just refuse the service and take it somewhere else. On the day of picking up, Benny offered me he could replace the sensor part for free since it was supposed to be covered under factory recall warranty. Huh? What kind of funny business are they running here? Wasn’t I just quoted $1200 a day earlier to fix the same issue? I couldn’t help but kept connecting the dots that they wanted to make back that $1200 discount they cut me on the previous service. AND even willing to go to the extent they would TAMPER WITH MY CAR to pop the check engine light back on soon after the previous service. I am now extremely concerned with my own safety and the safety of other customers going to that dealership. I have a responsibility to alarm this incident not only to the top management but to Audi headquarter and to the their customer base so they’re fully aware of the funny stuff going on here. The safety is the ultimate importance in auto services and they have violated it and breached my trust. I have requested to have my remaining service package refunded back to me and they only offered to issue a check. Will see if I will ever receive that check in the mail. 3 business days in and I have not received a call yet from the upper management. I think I will have to make a visit myself in the interest of consumer safety and protection. More

Everybody was very nice at the dealership. My only complaint is that there was only one person there to process a sale. I had to wait one hour and 40 minutes for that man to become free. I had to sit complaint is that there was only one person there to process a sale. I had to wait one hour and 40 minutes for that man to become free. I had to sit there and do nothing. That should not happen. My experience at Audi Palo Alto was not great. I was communicating with someone from Audi via text at (650)666-3399. Messaging was not responsive enough. Also got left hanging in the middle of a convers communicating with someone from Audi via text at (650)666-3399. Messaging was not responsive enough. Also got left hanging in the middle of a conversation with no follow-up the next day. I requested to have a test drive the next morning and someone prompted it wouldn't be a problem and would connect me to their management team to confirm. I waited for an hour for his/her team and never got anything. So I text back to confirm for 5PM appointment and he/she responded it was confirmed. So after work, I stopped by Stevens Creek BMW before my appointment at 5PM with Audi Palo Alto. BMW was great and took care of me. But my time was limited due to my appointment. So when I arrived at Audi, the entrance inside to the showroom was taped off. As I waited by the doors, someone finally attended to my needs and told me I couldn't have had a 5PM appointment because they were closed at 5PM. I was extremely confused and showed messages to the person. The guy kindly checked the message and said he would pull the car up for me to check out. I requested to see the Q3 and A6, and he had asked if I have driven a Q3 and I responded yes. So I assumed he was going to pull the A6 out. But instead he pulled a Q3 out. So I requested to test drive the A6 instead since they were closing. The guy was busy and was not happy (which is understandable). So we waited around for 30 minutes, then Travis Brown came out to see what car I was interested in and had told me he and the other guy are with someone, and told me I could go to the back to look for the A6 until the other guy was able to pull the A6 out for me see. So we decided to go find the car. As time passed, I was basically left in the sun outside waiting for awhile. Annoyed with the situation, I was about to leave when Travis Brown came out after he had finished up with his customer. Travis then got the car I wanted to test drive and off I went. When I got back, I decided to get the car. Travis was great and he was willing to sell me the car that day and stayed very late. So after having signed and driven my car off the lot, I reviewed my credit score the next couple of days and to my surprise, the dealer pulled 2 hard inquiries on my credit report. I have never had that done before and wondered if it was due to Travis and Joseph not syncing up. Travis had came back with my credit score while waiting for Joseph to sign the agreement. And when Joseph came to finish the paperwork, he also pulled my credit check. Not sure if this is standard procedure, but I've never had this done at any other dealers. My experience honestly could have been better. If I had known the dealer was closed earlier, I would've came earlier. But the fact that someone had pretended that I was scheduled during closing was wrong. More
