The diagnosis was originally a $1,000 fix, for batteries related to dashboard. Not a safety issue. I did two batteries for $500+ and replaced wipers ($85). Over $600. Then, driving down the highway I noticed hood was bouncing up and down - it had not been closed securely. That's a safety issue. I called the service area and let them know. Dan explained what to expect when I brought my car in. At first, the main problem went undetected by diagnostic tests. Dan called me the next morning and told me that the problem was now showing up on the diagnostics and what was needed to fix it. We had a wonderful conversation regarding the cost and I was very satisfied with the outcome.
