Buyer Beware! I went to check out a 2020 Ford F150 advertised as a Certified Preowned vehicle. I worked with Wylie who was great. We get to the numbers and they ad I went to check out a 2020 Ford F150 advertised as a Certified Preowned vehicle. I worked with Wylie who was great. We get to the numbers and they added $4700 as dealer add ons!!! Claimed that it was the warranty! So the price they advertised online was bait and switch? I walked out and I will acknowledge that after sometime I contacted Wylie and his manager Tony Aguirre reached out stating that they can do internet price plus TTL. Keeping the warranty. So I appreciate that they worked with me there. I already had preapproval with my bank but I let Tony know that if he can get me a competitive rate we can talk about financing with Ford. We agreed on price and I pointed out that I live over an hour away. I wanted to do the finance application online so that I can come in and simply sign. Tony responded that they have a process and that I have to be there in person to go through finance. I let him know that I just want my rate before I walk in. I don’t want warranties I’m already preapproved but Tony said it was their process and that they already discounted the car. Which they really didn’t.. they took off their “add ons”. I asked told him I didn’t want to be shot gunned and if he could just send my application to Ford finance specifically I would appreciate it. My credit score is 800 I already had a preapproval with my bank. He said “no sorry” I asked “can you just submit it for me? Or if you want send me a purchase order and I can bring a cashiers check” he responded “no you have to give me a chance to finance in person” and I told him that I would but I didn’t want to be sent to a bunch of banks. I just want my terms before making yet another hour drive. Tony responded verbatim “I already helped you out with the price and let me put it to you this way. I WON’T submit it for you. You have to come in.” With a heavy accent on the WON’T. I guess since he WON’T submit my application how I asked then he WON’T earn my business. Beware of the $4700 add on fees! Tony if you’re reading this… your automotive group has an online application on your website for a reason. More

My friend recently tried to buy a 2020 Ford F150 Platinum advertised as a Certified Preowned vehicle. They worked with Wylie, who was great at first. But when it came to the numbers, the dealership added $47 advertised as a Certified Preowned vehicle. They worked with Wylie, who was great at first. But when it came to the numbers, the dealership added $4700 in "dealer add-ons," claiming it was for the warranty. It felt like a bait-and-switch, so my friend walked out. Later, my friend reached out to Wylie, and his manager, Tony Aguirre, stepped in. Tony agreed to honor the internet price plus tax, title, and license while keeping the warranty. My friend appreciated this and even mentioned they’d consider financing through Ford if Tony could offer a competitive rate. Living over an hour away, they asked to handle the finance application online to save time. However, Tony refused, insisting my friend had to come in person for financing. Despite explaining they just wanted their terms upfront and were already preapproved with their bank, Tony wouldn’t budge, claiming the dealership had already “discounted” the car (they had only removed the $4700 add-ons). When my friend asked if they could submit the application directly to Ford Finance or provide a purchase order for a cashier’s check, Tony flat-out refused, saying, “You have to give me a chance to finance in person.” My friend reiterated they didn’t want their application sent to multiple banks, just Ford. Tony’s response? “Let me put it to you this way. I WON’T submit it for you. You have to come in.” That attitude sealed the deal—my friend decided Tony “WON’T” earn their business. Things didn’t end there. After leaving a negative review, the dealership’s director, Eddie Almodovar, reached out. My friend hoped Eddie would be more professional, but the call was even worse. I was sitting next to them during the call, and I couldn’t believe how rude Eddie was. The issue? My friend had already spent hours at the dealership the day before, driving over an hour to see the truck. After agreeing remotely on a price, they simply asked to complete the online finance application which they advertise on their own dealership website here https://www.towneastford.com/financing/application.htm and then just confirm interest rates before making another long drive and spending countless hours at this dealership again! Eddie refused, echoing Tony’s stance that my friend had to come in person. Based on other reviews, it seems this dealership frequently misleads customers, even some driving 4+ hours to get there, only to backtrack on deals, you can find those reviews on their site. We are not the only ones who experience this type of treatment but others have as well from “Town East Ford” so called Leadership team. When my friend pointed out the $4700 add-ons were deceptive justified by their so called “1yr- warranty”, Eddie responded, “The warranty is worth however much I want to sell it for.” He then said, “My job is to make money. I can sell the car to whoever I want, and if you don’t follow my process, I don’t have to sell it to you.” This level of unprofessionalism is appalling. Eddie’s “my way or the highway” attitude shows zero regard for customers. My friend wasted 5+ hours driving to this dealership and spending time there only to deal with their sleazy tactics. Given my friend 822 credit score and bank preapproval, all my friend wanted was clarity on the dealership interest rates offer before making another long trip, and didn’t want to spend hours at a dealership again without a solid deal on their interest rates that they pressured him so much to do. On Christmas Eve, this dealership didn’t just lose my friend’s deal—they lost future business from me and anyone I can warn, such as my own family, other friends and social media, they will all know about “Town East Ford – Mesquite” shady business dealings. Their bait-and-switch tactics, lack of empathy, and rude leadership are unacceptable. Buyers, beware of this dealership’s deceptive practices, lack of empathy, rude personality, lack of character and unprofessional management! More

My credit took a hard hit by the dealer and Town East Ford refused to write a letter to the credit union to correct the hard hit on my credit. I will never set foot back in this dealer and I will communicate to everyone I know to stay as far away from Town East Ford unless you want to be treated like a xxx! More

Our experience at Town East Ford in Mesquite, Texas was horrendous! There was a 2020 F350 Platinum for $61,423 listed on the website that we were interested in. We were not able to get to the dealership un horrendous! There was a 2020 F350 Platinum for $61,423 listed on the website that we were interested in. We were not able to get to the dealership until Saturday due to being four and a half hours away. We spoke with Tony, Used car sales manager, and a salesman, Dallas, throughout the day on Friday to see if the truck had sold or if we should plan the 9 hour round trip for Saturday. During this time, trade in values were discussed for both vehicles we would be trading in along with the sales price for the truck. We noticed the truck had been removed from the website and that’s when the run around started. Dallas told my fiancé the truck was sold. Then Tony told me it was available (this was within 2 min of each other). Then one said they were waiting for financing approval but the other said the truck was available. At one point someone said it was in service. Basically we were being given the COMPLETE RUN AROUND. After a few more back and forth calls with no straight responses, I asked Tony why the truck was now re-listed on the website for $68,000. He said it was because the market changes. Really?! The market changed in 6 hours. Hmmm. Finally my fiancé was told the truck was in fact available, and we could be there at 9AM. Numbers were discussed again and the price of the truck was now $68,000 which was no longer a deal or a reason for us to drive 9 hours round trip especially since I had 2 extremely invasive neck surgeries in the last three weeks totaling 10 hours which Tony was aware of. My fiancé told them we would not be coming. Shortly after, Tony called to apologize for all of the run around and said they would honor the original price and honor the values they provided for our trade in’s. Great! We decided to drive the four and a half hours to buy this F350. Guess what? We get there and now the trade in offer on my vehicle is $6,000 less! The original trade in value was already well below KBB trade in and what other dealers had offered but now all of a sudden its worth $6,000 less than that which just happens to be the magic number they changed online with their listing price on the truck! We were LIVID. The absolute last thing I felt like doing was riding 9 hours to be lied to and insulted! They said what they needed to for us to come to the dealership to then pull a bait and switch. This dealership is full of nothing but DISHONEST CROOKS who were going to be SURE they still made their extra $6K even knowing the xxxx and pain I went through just to get there! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!!! More
