Was originally quoted well above above sticker price. Fortunately they didn’t communicate that within themselves much and the original salesperson was gone when I went in to buy the car. We are very pleased with our Equinox purchase from Holm Motor Abilene Ks. Saw what we wanted and contacted Jeff Holm, he held vehicle until we got to dealer. From front door greeted by Ross Taplin and Jedediah Smith, they had vehicle ready for a test drive. Came back from test drive knowing we wanted car so they worked hard got financing. Tim Holm even thanked us for buying our car from them. We always enjoy working with Willie Thomas in financing. Caysen Smith went over all Equinox features, set up OnStar and got our XM radio going. I am a former and now a re-established customer of Holm Automotive Center in Abilene, Ks. I had the mornings of all mornings on 11/18/2021. As I stood outside in the 20 degree weather with winds gusting Automotive Center in Abilene, Ks. I had the mornings of all mornings on 11/18/2021. As I stood outside in the 20 degree weather with winds gusting at 30mph my faithful companion decided to lock me out of my vehicle as I stood gassing it up. I had no spare key. I had no cell phone. I had no wallet or ID as they were all locked up in the vehicle. After a few unsuccessful calls using the stations land line and being interrupted by business calls (who knew gas stations got so many calls?) to get assistance, I called my wife from the kiosk gas station and got Jamie Avers number. My wife said, "What is he gonna do he is in Abilene!" I said to her, "Jamie has never failed me before." I called him on his cell phone because I knew the dealership wasn't open but he would be there in the service lane already. Jamie was instrumental in helping me determine my options and ultimately made the decision for me that he would call my local unaffiliated with him (in fact competition for his) dealership and have them make me a key. He then worked back through my phone chain to make contact with my wife to arrange for pick up without any hassle. In a matter of minutes from the phone call, what looked like a terrible start to my day was nothing more than a small laughing matter and a moment of embarrassment for me with the wife! I now own two spare keys to the vehicle...just in case. Thank you Jamie for stepping up on my behalf I know that you didn't have to go the extra mile. But then again, I know this is what Jamie does as well as all the employees of Holm Automotive. The excellence of execution is uncommon to most and a mainstay for Jamie and the good people of Holm Automotive Center! Thanks a bunch J.A. you did it again my friend! EDMED More
