My experience at Volvo Silver Spring has been extremely disappointing, and I consider it one of the worst I’ve had since I began getting my car serviced there in 2019. Key Points of Discontent 1. Judgmental Attitude Regarding Warranty: • Throughout my interactions, I felt treated inappropriately and judged because my warranty is through CarShield. My service advisor, Justin, repeatedly stated, “This is not a Volvo warranty, and we don’t like dealing with them,” which made me feel devalued as a customer. 2. Broken Promises About Loaner Vehicle: • I was promised a loaner vehicle as soon as I approved the service charges. After approving the charges on Friday, I was informed that I would receive a loaner by Tuesday. However, when I received a call on Tuesday indicating my vehicle was ready, it became clear that they were reluctant to provide the loaner. 3. Lack of Follow-Through from Management: • I asked to speak with the service manager, Stefan, who assured me that a loaner would be made available and that someone would come to pick me up. Unfortunately, this commitment was never fulfilled. 4. Dismissive Suggestions: • Justin suggested that I should contact CarShield for rental assistance, which felt dismissive and unhelpful, rather than offering support from the dealership. 5. Extended Wait Time for Service: • My car has been at the dealership since February 28th. Initially, I received a loaner while they diagnosed the issue. By March 2nd, Justin called to inform me that they had found the problem. However, once I mentioned my CarShield warranty, I was told I had to return my car until they received approval from CarShield. This was a frustrating experience, as I had never encountered such issues in the past. 6. Billing Discrepancies: • When I finally picked up my car, I was presented with a bill of $2,200. I attempted to use a coupon for $50 off, but they refused to honor it, claiming I had already received a discount. 7. Inadequate Management Engagement: • While at the dealership, Stefan never took the time to introduce himself or apologize for the inconveniences I’d faced during our prior conversations. Additionally, I left several messages for the management, but none were returned. CarShield also expressed frustration over the lack of effort from Volvo in providing the necessary information. Conclusion Due to this series of unprofessional and frustrating experiences, I have decided that I will never return to Volvo Silver Spring. The lack of customer care, poor communication, and overall disregard for my concerns have left a lasting negative impression. More

I had a slight issue with my recent purchase which wasn’t a huge deal, but he took the time get things lined up and squared away. He tailored to my needs and provided options which from a customer perspective is paramount. I appreciate making my purchase an easy one. More

On 12/24/25 Jesse helped me resolve an issue with my key fob and saved me from spending ~$600 for a new key fob. One of the plastic battery holders was broken and Jesse and fellow Service Advisor Stefan Fo fob and saved me from spending ~$600 for a new key fob. One of the plastic battery holders was broken and Jesse and fellow Service Advisor Stefan Foster worked diligently to find a temporary solution that would allow the battery to make proper contact within the fob. They did charge me for their efforts which was outstanding and kind of a Christmas miracle! More

I had a great experience with Jesse. He is very communicative and gave me regular updates about my car. I was so pleased that he was able to obtain a loaner for me, given that my car nee He is very communicative and gave me regular updates about my car. I was so pleased that he was able to obtain a loaner for me, given that my car needed to be in the shop for almost two weeks. The loaner was very nice although I wish the service assistant had really checked to ensure it was clean. Also it would have been nice to to run the car through the car wash for regular customers. I purchased my car here and also always get my service here. I think a car wash should be the standard. More
