I purchased a “pre-owned” 2016 Audi on 3/11/2023 from
Audi of Ontario. On 5/5/2023, after only 1200 miles, I began hearing a clicking/ticking noise from the right front of my vehicle. I immediately took
Audi of Ontario. On 5/5/2023, after only 1200 miles, I began hearing a clicking/ticking noise from the right front of my vehicle. I immediately took it to Bauer German Auto Mechanic in Glendora, CA. They diagnosed it to be a faulty right front axle and right front lower control arm. The head mechanic advised I take it back to Audi of Ontario. After speaking to Phil Macias, servicing manager, he apologized and welcome my vehicle the following day to be inspected. On 5/9/2023, I was advised that my vehicle was not going to be covered per their used car manager. Upon arriving, I spoke directly with Brandon Barello, head service advisor, who informed me that they did not actually inspect my vehicle nor did they even put it on a lift to confirm a diagnosis, but simply went off of the 3rd party mechanics diagnosis. In fact, I was told that their mechanic couldn’t “replicate” the same sound that myself and 4 others heard. With that said, my vehicle basically sat in their back lot for 4 days. I was given an estimate and refused service. Following that, I immediately took my vehicle to Bauer German Auto for repair and service was completed in the same day at half the cost that I was given by Audi of Ontario.

I’m really very sorry that you are dissatisfied with your service with us. I know we have addressed this in other places but I want to address your conveners again here. When you brought the car in we could not duplicate the sound you were describing, we very much tried to do so. At that point you asked us how much would it cost if we did the service that this independent shop quoted you; so we provided that. Our quote was more; as a franchise dealer we are held to a higher standard than an independent shop. We are required to use OEM Audi parts, tools, diagnostic equipment, Audi trained technicians and more. You can always find someone to do something cheaper, but we maintain the standards that Audi sets which keep your car on the road longer.
