Mike Krueger service director had his IT changed offer date to expired after the service took place and did not honor SchaumburgToyota.com website promotion. I have proof. I took the screenshot of the online offer before and after. Had to pay double of what was advertised. I will talk to corporate office about UNFAIR PRACTICES ACT. "The Act prohibits the use of unfair or deceptive acts or practices, including the use of deception, fraud, misrepresentation, and SUPPRESSION OF MATERIAL facts. While the Act provides this general definition, it also contains a number of specific actions that are considered to be violations of the law." More

This dealership is charging for services/repairs/parts that are not performed/replaced, then when caught and confronted they blamed it on employee who got “confused” and tried to somewhat make it right, b that are not performed/replaced, then when caught and confronted they blamed it on employee who got “confused” and tried to somewhat make it right, but no compromise was made and I was literally being dismissed by customer satisfaction manager, needles to say I will never go there again and would recommend others to stay away. Stay away from this dealership. They told my buyer not to buy my vehicle and misrepresented the value of my vehicle . Since they could not sell a car to my buyer the service MANAGER deterred the buyer from my vehicle . The service manager is not qualified to appraise vehicles. Save your money and time and go somewhere else for service / inspection. More

We always bring our Toyotas to the dealer for service for peace of mind. We brought our 2006 4-Runner into Schaumburg Toyota on March 15 for an oil change and regular inspection since we were leaving for vac peace of mind. We brought our 2006 4-Runner into Schaumburg Toyota on March 15 for an oil change and regular inspection since we were leaving for vacation in May and would pull a travel trailer to the mountains of Vermont. On the way out our muffler started making noise and had it checked on Monday. We went to a mechanic in small Middlebury VT and were told that the muffler was an easy fix, but that the real issue was the large hole around the driveshaft and the 5 of the 6 missing bolts that connected the front wheels (and the 6th was rusting). We were told that our 4-Runner was “dangerous”, that we couldn’t drive it because we were “one pothole away from a catastrophic accident”. You can imagine our shock and disbelief, so we had another mechanic and then another look and confirm what we were told. We asked if they could do something so that we could get home and were told “that was impossible. It should not be driven under any circumstances.” We were in Vermont on vacation, pulling a travel trailer, and our car must be totaled. How did this happen? Our car had just been to the dealer and received a green light inspection and nothing was said about our car being dangerous. We just drove 900 miles. Being 2 woman 67 and 70 we have always brought our cars to the dealer for more peace of mind. How would we get rentals since it was Memorial Day weekend, “the busiest rental weekend of the year”? We ultimately spent 3 days finding the vehicles necessary to get us and the travel trailer home. So much for vacation. We had to rent a U-Haul box car (in New York 2 hours away) to get the travel trailer back, and then a Budget van (2 hours the other way) to get us and our stuff home. We paid nearly $1700 to get home and came home to a one car household. Had we known that our car was “dangerous” we would never have taken it on vacation. We also would have been able to make a plan to dispose of our car at home, at our leisure, and not in a hectic, back to the wall, situation. This experience was horrible, and totally preventable. The only positive thing in this whole series of events is that I am alive to write this. i have NO faith in this service department nor this dealership. If you go here ask, "Can I trust what you're telling me?" More

I want to specifically acknowledge Mike Krueger, the Service Director for his professionalism and great service. Having purchased my RAV4 in December, I wanted to service it at a Toyota dealership. Sche Service Director for his professionalism and great service. Having purchased my RAV4 in December, I wanted to service it at a Toyota dealership. Scheduling was easy and they were able to get me in right away and the oil change took about 40 minutes. I had some concerns that I brought to Mike, and thanks to his excellent service I will defiantly be back. More
