My previous vehicle had been stolen, and unfortunately deemed a "total loss." I had a very short window to find a new car, and didnt know where to start, or what type of vehicle I was looking for. So I r deemed a "total loss." I had a very short window to find a new car, and didnt know where to start, or what type of vehicle I was looking for. So I reached out to my auto insurance agent, and without hesitation, he gave me Laura's number from City Volkswagen. I immediately called, and left her a voice message. Within a short time Laura returned my call and I made an appointment to see her. From the first moments, till the time I made my decision nealy 48 hours later, Laura became like family. I felt very comfortable telling her about myself, and how important my daughters input was in selecting a car. My daughters ultimately helped me pick the car, as well as the color of the car, after numerous pictures of different vehicles I had shared with them. My daughters zeroed in on the VW Tiguan in the Sandstone color. For me, and for my daughters, it was definitely "vehicle love" at first site. Laura was dedicated, and very observant to what I was looking for in a car. It was definitely a win-win-win. I was happy, my daughters were happy, and Laura was happy that she helped me find the right car. As I'm taking delivery of the car, Laura was connecting my cellphone to the car, and going over important dashboard features I needed to know. The moment she turned on the radio, a song that I used to sing to my wife (who had passed away), came on the radio...not in the middle of the song, nor near the end...but AT THE VERY BEGINNING of the song. This was my first Volkswagen purchase after being a loyal Toyota customer for last 10+ years. Two weeks after paying off my Toyota, the transmission failed. I was overwhelmed with work and life stuff so having to go unplanned car shopping did not sound very desirable. The moment I walked into City Volkswagen of Chicago my entire mindset changed.
